Welcome to Arabian Breeders Network
Achaean Arabians
We are located in historic horse country in Northern Virginia. Our farm is home to three Straight Egyptian stallions sharing the honor of having some of the best bloodlines still available in the US.

Since 1981 we have been involved with Arabians, starting with the purchase of our *Morafic grandson, Harem Shamahsheik. At age 28, Sheik is still going strong and still loves to drive the wagons for community events.

Or am I the only one?

Can anyone tell me anything about French Arabians?

I can't really provide you with a lot of knowledge on French Arabians, but the breeder of the pure Polish (race-bred) horses that I have crosses her Polish mares on French stallions. French Arabians do very well on the track, but are critisized for lack of type. I respect their athleticism, and if I had tons of cash, I would utilize French stallions. Gotta focus, though biggrin.gif - until I hit the lotto!

Sin is definitally not very 'typey'.

For one, He is HUGE! And extremly atheltic.

He is pushing 16hh. Every arabian/half-arabian I have ever been close to is small compared to him.

My coming 2yr old filly has some French blood in her (she's actually has quite a mixture, but I like what I'm seeing in her development).

I'm hoping to do endurance &/or long trail rides with her. I tracked down a couple of links for French Arabians and have them archived on my
Research Links webpage.

Here are the direct links though:

We have two Aneto horses, mare and a gelding. Neither one is typy-quite plain heads but both are extremely great kid's horses, the one being a superior jumper.

Luckyme - I think you will find that you will see many more Arabians with French lines in the Racing industry. However as Beth mentioned above, you will also find them with children, jumping, etc.
The mare pictured below is sired by a French Stallion and is quite representitive of the line regarding type. She is however a structurally correct mare with ALOT of substance and a sweet personality. This mare will be bred to Esquire this year and we are thrilled for her owner(s). They no doubt get an outstanding athlete!
