It's a late race for me here in Central standard time zone...but I'm sure I will watch!

This is FORAY"S 3rd race, his first one, he won, second one, he was fourth...he couldn't get in position, he came from last to 4 th, in 4 furlong...not to bad. Hope he gets in the right position to be able to run tonight.

Mandolynn Hill Farm and I own this horse in partnership.

Horseracing can be very frustrating!!!

So, are the highs higher or the lows lower? I've been playing the game too and can't decide. I've had horses that were favored to win big races that came out flat and then horses that were longshots that came out and showed me why I like Polish horses.

Nothing like traveling half way across the country for a "can't miss" race and missing.

The other side, we had a horse (Clearly Classic) in a stakes race here a few years ago. Before the race an owner approached Everetta and told her that we would have to start breeding French if we hoped to compete. Around the final turn and heading for home CC went 3 wide and blew by 4 horses to win the race. The French horse of said owner was in that group. Not exactly the Kentucky Derby but fun in my little corner of the world.

Well, Dan...I've only had two wins, but Dancers Traveler, I can not complain about he has been great, Love that horse.

I am questioning how much of Foray's not doing better is ...him... or something else. Time will tell, expensive time!

My Pure Polish horses may not be my race winners, my thinking is the poles breed to the local horses...so why not have a separate breeding program that breeds to French, Spanish, Egyptian, domestic and call it racing? I may not like what I just said...tomorrow, but it's a way to generate some income...if they can win.

I almost forgot to answer your question about the highs and lows...highs are higher.

Bet that was a good time when CC bet that persons horse!!!

Dan,

Was that when CC won the TX Oaks by 20? I never heard that story, bet it made you puff of your chest. Classy mare.

It was the Kontiki Stakes (?) about 2 months after the Oaks. Back to back stakes wins and then we retired her. Next time we get on a discussion about why we should run longer races, she is an example. Very middle of the pack at 6f but give her some time to warm up and she was hard to beat. Only 1.5 years until her Wojslaw colt starts training but who's counting.
