Ok so long story short, this horse has been haunting me for a while now. Even before I got Lacinda, Katie Rose and the others I had visited this place to see her Arabians for sale.

This is Llaredo, she wants 1k for him unregistered but says if you contact Dixie North that Dixie will sell you the papers for 600.00 (But maybe less I am guessing if you are a good home I am sure Dixie would be thrilled to know he found one). His mother is a top winner and we all know his sire is a top big name stallion.

I bet he is nominated to high heavens for stuff. I am guessing he was an ET foal. I saw him in person, of all the horses this lady had he was my favorite. A little fearful but not over the top, mostly head shy and I am going to go out on a limb and say that is fixable as he was super sweet, in your pocket other than that.
His head was exquisite, you can not tell in the photos. He is very young.

I would say more but in case the lady comes here, I will just say, PLEASE someone if you want a nice gelding and are in So Cal consider this boy. He is haunting me and I just can not justify him , hes a long yearling, a gelding and just not the breeding I am pursuing even if he was a stallion. I just know he would make a super horse, its a gut feeling. it sounds like he was a cull from north arabians and that's why the woman has no papers on him there was a topic on culling practices and how to make sure people don't breed the BN Farms don't give the culls papers

Yea I have to admit I started that thread after seeing a whole herd of these guys out at in BF Egypt near me (about 30 miles out from me). I had pulled in and the guy meets me at the gate telling me how the people right before me had just shot a goat and buried its guts in the field and he sure hopes his dogs 'dont dig them goat guts up'.
My daughter and I look at each other like "Omg what have we got ourselves into!!

As it turned out his wife was nice, I felt sorry for her actually. I won't go into details. In any case NA gave this guy a bunch of these well bred geldings including one Brazilian import who has Scottsdale performance wins for an electrical bill they had. She told me Dixie told her for 600.00 that someone could purchase the papers but to call first to make sure with Dixie. I want to say I have never known Dixie to be anything but all for the welfare of the horses....but I only knew Dixie befor she had Psyche. But Im pretty sure people don't change that much. When I bought a stallion from Dixie for 5k that she had bred years earlier and she was helping an eldlery couple resell she GAVE me 2 fillies and one colt...two Aicying kids, one out of a Bask daughter named Leading Ladee, and a PP *Goliat daughter out a super well bred mare too. WITH PAPERS. The one filly out of Leading Ladee I think actually was the *Goliat daughter. The names were Walalika (If I remember right), Bryce and Ice Angel (with some initials, maybe NA or something).

I showed up to pick them up and here she is GIVING them to me and they are all clipped up, know how to tie, lead, stand, are in great shape, even body clipped. I mean it was unreal that this woman is giving me these horses worth tons of money (I never made a dime on them, I placed them in good homes even though I had the papers!!) Of course I had purchased the stallion from her but still....what a lady to do all that. So she was NOT the type to cast off her horses back then, that was when I was pregnant (she must have thought me nuts, buying a stallion when preggo lol). So that was in 1996 I believe.

In any case this is why I say if someone were to contact Dixie directly (not anyone else mind you) I think she would help them and give them the papers.

Supposedly when these people went to get the colts they were all loaded into same trailer and were not in very good shape and none knew how to halter (though I take that with a grain of salt since I will go with dixies word over anyone elses at this point).

Anyway, this guy is gorgeous, super dishy head, tall and lanky and well put together. He is really NOT a cull as far as a gelding goes. When I saw him he needed a lot of groceries but still looked beautiful.

I hope someone might need a nice gelding.....if not is ok. But it just worries me at least once a week and I check her site once a week to see if he found a home.

Culling If you are going to breed i think you should be responsible enough to sell them with the papers no matter what. Your stallion isn't always going to produce top of the line horses there are always those ones that pop out there. Then they end up in these kind of situations or worse at the slaughterhouse on someones plate. Sorry but btb make all that money they should be alittle more responsible even though the reason they do this is because they don't want some of the not so great horses attached to their stallion, all stallions/mares aren't perfect. To me thats irresponsible IMO. There is someone out there that would like a horse that doesn't need to be some top show horse but needs a home. And selling without papers i have to say i really really hate that especially when they are asking for more money. $$$$ that's what its all about to them it's not about where and how the horse is going to end up. I think the horses deserve their heritage and responsible breeders/owners make sure that happens. Sorry but i hope someone gets this guy he does deserve a good home.

Yes he does and the pics don't do his head justice. He has a classical head winners head. He is VERY nice!! I don't know why he was culled but there is nothing really glaring wrong with him. He is a beautiful leggy typey gelding. They can not honestly expect Psyche to only sire Stallion quality sons. I don't expect any stallion to do that.

I hope that if there is anyone in the market for a top notch show horse gelding that they would consider this guy or even an ABN trainer in So Cal who could train him and then resell to a good home.

If you were to call NA and ask they may very well release his papers.

Is 1000.00 a little high for a unregistered gelding with the market the way it is? I'm just curious??

that's too bad, before deciding to go with straight egyptians I had inquired on this guy along with others as the prices had been drastically lowered. She said she was making room for the new foals but they had just been gelded. Wish I had called sooner as he would have been in my barn by now. I hope someone can give him a good home.

Yea I think its too high, one reason he is not with me right now. That day if she had taken 300. to 500 cash Id have done it and just dealt with dixie

I know its a bit much for him.



He is just gorgeous, he will make someone a lovely show gelding and Im pretty sure Dixie will give papers if asked in a nice way. I just believe that about her If you guys could see the side view on his head......or maybe have to see it in person. But its so exquisite.

Wow I guess it could happen to anyone nowadays....it is really nice to post this. He does look lovely and sweet.

He is he followed me all over, was the only one out the crowd who really seemed interested in humans. I just currently have no room in my plans for a gelding as I have to leave that gelding slot open in case my stallion does not sire what I want Thinking ahead here since he is 5 and unproven. I would have one gelding and I have to just wait to fill the place for a horse I breed or maybe a horse who does not sire what I think is typey enough etc. Not for a rehome or rescue.

This guy was thin but not like bones popping out, just ribby but he was in with a lot of other geldings and I bet he was low man as there were a couple that were fat and sassy then a couple that were real ribby and thin. Maybe since she sold some of the others he manages to get more hay now.

Also I just felt like because she is really a QH/Mustang person he needs someone who understands arabians. Several times she said "You know how these arabians are' when he would be shy towards her touching him.....I just nodded and smiled, I don't like to be rude but I wanted to say "No actually I don't!!

Anyway, he's just too good to stand there. I know he has not sold due to his colour, he was the best of the bunch but a dirty grey (hes dirty though!!). Remember hes a long yearling in the photo, totally gawky and unfilled in.......this horse is going to be special.
