A wee bit about Fiona
I’m an Equine artist, and I specialize in the Arabian horse. I have been blessed to have observed and studied and painted Arabians for years. My favorite paintings to create are of the horse in motion. Tossing their heads, galloping, rearing, snorting and blowing, tails flagged and the wind whipping their manes.

Okay everybody, I think we need to get our little "corner" of this forum hopping a little more!
Here we are, smack dab in the middle of show season, and no one has anything to say?

Baby pictures? Yearling Pictures? Show brags? Next years expected foals? Farm news? Recent purchases? ..Gossip? haha
Who's goin to Regionals? Nationals? Let's hear it! Anything goes!

Okay, I will start!

This is a year of *firsts* for me, with my *first* foal crop hitting the show ring. We started the year off with a bang with Evening Klassic SVA winning WCB Futurity Reserve Champion Yearling Filly! (my *first* Breeders title. I'm a very proud mama smile.gif She and my 3 year old gelding will be heading to Regionals (my *first* time with halter horses)

Pictures of Eve will follow when Tex Kam gets them finished! But here's my 3 year old, Juno, and I trotting in to the ring at the Friday show.

We have lots going on in our little corner of Ontario!
This year was our largest foal crop yet, with 5 on the ground and 2 more on the way, all sired by our 26-year-old straight Russian stallion Nefison. I've been posting pictures over on the Russian forum, planning to get some updated pictures soon and will share when I do!
We have not yet ventured into the show ring, but the first major foal crop for our program are now 2-year-olds, so are starting to think ahead to under saddle training and getting one or two into the ring. We're planning to look into a couple places in western Canada this fall, so we may be joining the show scene out that way in the next couple years!

We are also in the process of settling into a new place, moved last fall and have been busy building fence, renovating an old barn, etc... as I'm sure everyone knows the work never ends! We have all of our 2-year-olds, our yearling and riding horses settled in, and are now in the process of moving our broodmares and their new foals.
Also have a couple new additions to our broodmare band in the works, too soon to share details though so stay tuned!

Congrats Kristal! See you at regionals. Your "babies" are beautiful!!!

Bailey is taking Movado (Versace x Cindra) to regionals.

I am also very excited about the 2009 foals:

Couturier (Versace x Evening Intrigue) x Blueberry Bey (Matinee Bey x RK Amir's Jewel)

and

Matinee Bey (NV Beau Bey x Classique Design) x Cleopatra (Burgundy Parke x Class All Her Own)

I simply can't wait for these babies!!!

I'm still searching for the right WP mount for Bailey, but the budget sits at about $5000 right now and the hubby tells me not to bring any more horses home until a few more sell sad.gif Usually I wouldn't listen to such jibberish, but we are living solely off him right now as I took the summer off to "play" with my horses so... C'est la vie...
In the meantime, I have most of the herd for sale hoping to find a few of them new homes so Bailey can have the WP horse she's been dreaming of!

Have a great (horse filled) summer:)
