Not that I am aware of. I showed at both the Region 13 & 14 Championships and did not see it. My understanding of the rules (without quoting them word for word) is that one wears a stock tie w/ either a pin or monogram. The hunter attire is based on what one would wear fox hunting - conservative coat, breeches, stock tie & pin (in case the tie and pin is needed for a wound). I would wear what everyone else is wearing, but then again, I show in a dark navy coat and tan breeches - no shimmery coat for me.

Ditto to what Jeanie said. Only time I have seen it done is when the rider had a quick change between a saddleseat class and a hunter class, otherwise it's just your normal collar with a pin or monogram.

Actually, my trainer as well as Cathy Vincent are both wearing the ties a lot now. Sometimes it's because there's a saddleseat class shortly after, sometimes not. I don't know if it's a new trend or just easier for them and more comfortable.

I haven't seen ties in working hunters since back in the 60's! I have seen one or two hunter pleasure riders in a tie but probably having to go in another class right after. Conservative is best on a hunter since it is suppossed to be all about the horse.

Hunter riders never wear stock ties. Only dressage and Show Hack uses stock ties.

I call my collar on my hunt shirt a "stock tie." I should have clarified myself. It comes from my days of being a dressage rider - have pity on me! biggrin.gif

How is Fabiotto's sister, your Ohadi Ben Rabba daugher doing?

She is quite happy. The grass is tall and thick with all the rain we've been having here in FL. And I haven't had time to ride her, so she is fat and smiling.

Wish I could find a show to take her to when I didn't have to work, as she is looking very nice...like a smaller version of Popeye K smile.gif
