The ride i co chair and sec for is this weekend. threats of thundershowers but that doesn't slow us down.... meantime i've got a full ride of 60 riders and that gets a little hairy the way i like to take care of things and manage it.

wish us luck on this end...

meantime i'm also managing and sec for a fall ride Nov 3/4 at the same location , Stillwater , OK...

hey good luck this weekend Maz!!

I worked the last ride from our county park in Lake Los Angeles, with 81 riders. We had 38 riders doing the 26mile course and 43 doing the 50 miler. Of course hetre we had lots of deep sand, rocky buttes, and plenty of wide open area for those folks who like to run. Had three horses pulled, one for metabolics, and two were ouchy footed, so riders pulled them. Also had two riders pull for pooped out ! All in all a good ride, and nothing serious anywhere.
We had catered Chinese food after the ending, and then the awards and lots of social ypping and of course lots of tall tales were told!! LOL

Maz:

What ride is that? How far is it from Forestburg, Texas. A friend of our owns a gelding we bred and she rides quite a few rides in that area. Her name is Ann Goolsby. She rides a tall grey gelding by the name of Aul The Magic. I wonder if she was at that ride?

Regards,
Peter

there will be a AERC ride at that site Jun 9, we are the trail masters for Lake Carl Blackwell.
