My status




I have a mare who is 60% Egyptian and 40% Polish. I am trying to learn who on her pedigree was straight egyptian before the polish got introduced. So, which of the following are straight egyptians...

At a quick glance, here are the pedigrees of the sire and the dam. the ones in yellow are SEs. There are other Al Khamsa in there too, like Davenports.

Nice mix.

A lot of those are Babson, except Zarife (easy to find) and Adhem (also easy).

Bint Al Bahr Arabian in AZ has a lot of pictures of Babsons. I think there are picture of most of them on thise forum, thanks to CL

Julyan is rare.

Very nice mare!

Very pretty girl, Jennifer. Your mare has a good bit of Crabbet breeding also.

Years back we used to breed the Julyan, Mist Aana lines and they were wonderful horses. Great personalities, gentle temperment, extremely easy to saddle train, and they had huge eyes. We had an Ensign daughter, Dena who had the largest eyes, I've ever seen on a horse.

If you can't find photos of the Julyan-Mist Aana horses, I do have some I can scan.
