Does anyone remember THE MYSTIC SAI that was owned and promoted by Source Arabians a few years back. Well unfortunately he ended up in a sad situation, is now gelded and has been rehabilitated. Well anyhow Source would not hand over papers on him (they do this alot with geldings) but he does need a special home so i thought i would post the link and his story as well

Bree was originally know as Thee Mystique Sai and won Top 5 in the Canadian Nationals 6 years ago in halter class.
We rescued him last June from a ranch that hadn't the time to love him back to life. He'd been gelded, lost his buddy, was picked on in his new herd, and became depressed. It was summer but he had a sparse winter coat, bald spots all over, was skin and bones with long hooves, full of worms...
We took him home and he became everyones favorite. He started to eat, thriving on love and good care. Kids groomed and handled him daily.
Bree is very quiet as we groom him and is used to being saddled and bridled now, loves the attention, is up to date on shots, teeth, great for the farrier-doesn't need shoes and is dewormed regularly.
Last fall we worked him on the lungeline under tack and he did well. He loved kids riding him as i led him around.
He is now ready for someone to take him home and continue his training under saddle. Until that happens, we will continue to work with him.
Bree has a huge stride and can real fly. He could do well doing anything with the right training.
Right now we can ride him in the ring at a walk and he is so quiet and relaxed. He walks, turns and stops all on cue. Every time we ride him he has been consistently quiet. We had a friend ride him at a trot and he looked like a dressage horse...We ride him with a pad saddle since we don't have a normal saddle that fits him, that's why I haven't ridden him a trot...
There are two reasons why we aren't keeping him for our program, first Bree gets very excited when in contact with mares and the kids get scared around him as he grows a foot taller and neighs real loud. So he acts like a stud unless kept separate, which is the way we have him now and he is consistently a gentleman-a #1 as far as quietness. The second reason is that in rehoming Bree, we will have more space and time to care for a new rescue.
All proceeds from his sale will go to support Broken Arrow Ranch-a non profit that brings unwanted, hurting horses and underprivileged kids together...
Bree needs a loving, knowledgeable home where he can be understood, trained and cherished.
