Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone was headed to the Santa Barbara show next weekend? I'll be there with my boy in hunter open and hunter maturity. I hope others are going!

We originally had this AHASC show on our '08 schedule (being Labor Day weekend it's always right around my birthday smile.gif), but for financial/economy reasons we are holding off until Las Vegas in October. Good luck and please be sure to post pictures after the show!

I always forget to look in the Regional events forum, so I missed this thread when it started.

We were at the Santa Barbara show this past weekend for our ‘one last tune-up' show before Nationals. Hallelujah Nite settled in quite nicely and was named Champion in her 1/2 Arab CEP Open class last night, Santiago was named Champion in the Purebred CEP Jr. Horse class this a.m., and Cognieckaa was named Reserve Champion in her Purebred Western Pleasure Jr. Horse class yesterday afternoon. It was a nice show, the folks did a pretty good job of keeping things running smoothly, and for falling so close to the end of Canadian Nationals they had a decent turn-out ... If I could make one small suggestion; they could have done a little more in the decoration category ... I was there Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and didn’t realize there was a “theme” until it was mentioned late Sunday morning. Other than that; good show folks.

I’m on a different computer than normal, so these are the only photos I have of Santiago and Nite ... they are the proofs of our upcoming Arabian Horse Times ad.

This is Cognieckaa

Back from the show and happy to announce that this was my boy's third show and it was a show of thirds! He was third on the cards in the PB Hunter Pleasure Maturity and third in both his PB Hunter Open qualifying class and championship with trainer Kathy Bast.

We had our bobbles and learning experiences but he handled everything with such maturity and class. I am so excited about this boy's future and am really looking forward to showing him in the amateur classes.

Kathy also won the trail maturity with a score of 79 on Silver Supris owned by Sandra Eggert, Sandra won the Trail ATR Championship on this gorgeous mare.

The weather and scenery were beautiful. I got to see both Kharma LTL and Adelaida V in some of their classes, something I was looking forward to after reading about them on ABN.

I can't wait to show there again! Congrats to all.
