And the colt we bred Hy Wynds, a son of HG Esquire+ was shown by his owner, ABN Member Hy Wynds to Champiion SHIH Colts 3 & under ATH and Reserve Champion SHIH Colts 3 & Under Open Congrats to his owners, both ABN members!

How was the turnout for Sport Horse at the show? Everywhere I've been this year it has been down. I think because SHN is in Idaho this year. We are planning on going to SHN next year again. It is a great show.

Chris Anckersen showed him(also his manager)
he received 5 points which qualifies him for Region 12 and East Coast for 2009 and to be campaigned for Junior Stallions at Nationals.
as far as exact # of horses or who...I don't have that information.

Morning Bob! I personally was not at this show to watch the colt we bred however did receive a voice mail and later on a call from his owners. I believe the show numbers overall were in fact smaller than even last year - yet not for any particular classes per say but overall.

The shows we have personally attended have in fact had the same feel. However I must say that the Sport Horse classes seemed to be pretty consistent in that there were more entries in that venue than any of the others. Both Under-Saddle and In-hand to clarify. We have our HG Esquire+ daughter, GA E-Vangeline qualified now and also look forward to when SHN returns to our side of the world. It will be great to meet another SH ABN Member!

We also attended the CPAHA show this year and yes the numbers were down. We heard explanations ranging from the horid weather last year (100 degrees and 100% humidity) to the overlap with Canadian nationals o tropical storm Fay. We showed our 3 year old colt at SHIH were he won Champion in the open class and Reserve in the ATH class. He also won Reserve Champion at the NCAHA show in April. Marsha Parkinson says these Ganges colts do not fully mature until they are 5 or 6 and if he is already scoring some 8's!!! We can't wait for the future!!!

One of our premier broodmares CR Milliegramm also did very well at the show, winning Champiom SHIH mares. She also won a reserve champion SHIH mares at the NCAHA show in april. sorry about the overly cropped picture but the original picture was over 500k. I will be posting full body pics on our website soon.
