I have seen *Muscat in person twice. Once while he was at Lasma east in KY, we were taking a mare there to be bred to him .... we received a tour of the stud "barn" (I use the word "barn" VERY loosely!!!) as this barn was nicer than many houses. Also in the stud "barn" at the time were *Aladdinn and *Nariadni and I'm sure some other big names but I was to GaGa to remember who else .... those three big names were enough to put me on sensory overload!!!!

Another time I was at nationals in KY walking around the stall area close to where the vendors were and there was a commotion as this one horse van pulls up, so everyone stopped to see who was in the van and off came *Muscat!!! Close enough to touch!!! He was there for some special presentation. Tall, leggy and very much knowing "he was the man"

Some people posed for a picture with him and he had a look of "I'll tolerate this but I do not know you ... therefore you are beneath me"

Soon after this *Muscat moved to the Taylor Ranch in UT

I do have a funny story which illustrates how much *Muscat "knew" he was the best.

I encountered this in some of the behaviors of a *Muscat grandson here TR Gladiator. My friend, who owns TR Gladiator, explained to me that *Muscat would have to be brushed with his own brush, no other scents on it, otherwise, he would turn his head, glare and grimace at you!

I saw *Muscat and *Nariadni in 1997--standing together outside, blanketed, facing the same direction and side by side, about a foot between them (they were outside in adjacent stalls). What an impression to see two "competitors" such friends.

Trying to post more, but I can't keep my posts from being combined

I met Muscat at US Nationals when they did a parade of Champions and had him along with Aladdinn, Padron and Simeon shai in the ring for everyone to pet.I also worked with several of his sons and daughters at Springwater Farms when they had their Russion program and I leased a Muscat daughter HK Annatina(out of an Antey daughter for breeding)I met Howie Kale there too and was priviledged enough to give him the tour of all the horses and foals at the farm.
