I talked to Robert Cass a few minutes ago and they have moved quite a few horses off the farm to a safer location . He was feverishly working horses and trying to get things secured at the farm. Lots of stuff to blow around and hurt other stuff on a ranch.
No small amount of chaos there as I would think they have a horse or two , hopefully catching a flight OUT OF HOUSTON early next week and a hurricane looming Made me glad to be in the business I am in for a change haha!
Prayers for all in the way. I have been there and know the pure terror that comes with seeing one that size bearing down on you.
I wish I was closer to you guys to help out.
Gina

Even as far inland as I am here in TX (just s. of DFW), we are projected to receive over 7-8 in. of rain, massive flooding and winds of 60 mph. I have never seen such a frenzy of gas buying as I did today when I went to take my dtr. to get something to eat (around 5 pm). The lines were 4-5 cars deep per line, some more. INSANITY! My dtr., who works at a local pharmacy says the Louisiana/Miss./Houston folks are already here, trying to get their meds, but cannot because the pharmacies down there are closed, of course! Bad situation already! YEARS ago, whilst living ON the bay in Bayport,TX I was in Hurricane Alicia. NOT FUN! A LOT!

Oh Cy, this look like a really bad one all the way around.

It could flood downtown Houston and even North of there......................

Bless you and take care. You KNOW my prayers are already winging to you. angel.gif

UPDATE:

The water that IKE is pushing AHEAD of it (not the storm surge which comes later) has already over topped the sea wall in Galveston.

Please pray for those who can no longer get out of the danger and those who are trying to........ angel.gif

This storm is 900 miles WIDE and even Tulsa expects over a FOOT of rain to fall from it.

God Bless All,
