Well not sure if everyone knows, Raff has EPM. There was a time about a month ago i thought i was really going to have to euthanize him, i can say i was honestly really scared. I just can't imagine my life without him since he's been in my life for the last 12 yrs. When i first seen Raff i knew he was the one. See i had lost my very first horse after 5 months of owning her so i was looking over a couple years always comparing them to Maggie but no one did, well that is until i seen Raff. I went to go look at him they cleaned him all up had him in a stall waiting for me and they opened the door, i told them i will take him. I've been around horses ridden them but never once handled or ridden a stallion though (what was i thinking?). Over the years he has taught me a lot about a stallion. He has been a great guy to work with too especaially for this newbie. Not to say he wasn't a handful when i first got him out on the trails but he was never a trail horse either, just living on 40 acres and bred a couple mares. I wished i would of pursued some endurance with him because he was great out there we would ride for hours and he wouldn't tire he had awsome feet never had to shoe him. On that side i kind of wished maybe he would of ended up with someone else since all he was for me is a trail horse. I've only had one foal from him since i owned him didn't really buy him to do a bunch of breeding with but i wished i had a couple more especially now. But back to now i had started him on his treatment and he was doing good but the last couple days he hasn't been doing so great he is starting to get off balance again and it's starting to scare me. I just want him to get better and at least be a pasture horse for me i dont care if i ever can breed him again or not i just want him better. So please every he just needs lots of good thoughts going his way....and hopefully i can come back with some good news soon.
