I adopted both of my horses from this rescue and I can attest that they are wonderful, honest and hard working ladies. They recently took in some horses, including an Arab stallion that were about as starved as a horse can get before death. They are in need of some help and could use some sponsors to help rehab these horses so they can be adopted out. Please go to: http://greatexpectationsmn.tripod.com/index.html and look at the Rehab Horses page.

I know money is tight for everyone now but anything would help. Thanks!

They really are wonderful people and they could really use the donations right now to rehab these really bad ones they recently got in.

These people have been taking in horses for some time, and have been fairly successful in rehoming many of them. I take my hat off to them!

BTW.... I didn't see any images of the emaciated stallion, is his photo and info somewhere particular on that site?

Hi Kay, when you go to thier site, click on the "Rehab Horses" page in the menu to the left. He is on that page.

I have posted his pics below. His name is Lance and he is only 3 years old.

Such a sweet face.

The fungus on his foot.

Oh my, he's got a nasty fungal thing going on... involving his immune system when it is that severe.

He also has a terrible set of rear legs. Shouldn't be a stallion IMO.

Nope he sure shouldn't be. They will be gelding him when he's healthy enough to have the operation.

I am bumping this up. They just got in two more severly emanciated horses, and a skinny black Arab mare with a freeze brand. Please folks, even $5 would help them out.
