Hilary,
You are about to get a rare hurricane for your area! Batton down the hatches and dig those water trenches. Keep us posted on how you are doing! Stay safe.
Thanks for the heads-up...................can you believe this???????? <Sigh>
Thank you all for thinking of me up here with Kyle coming to visit MAINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Are you serious" I asked Mr. God, as Emma Calls him?! Three years old going on 30 you know.
EMMA: (aka "ANGEL BABY")

Dug trenches in between hospital and Dr. visits, prior to storm's arrival. Nailed windows shut in the big older barn yada yada yada.....one of many reasons I left Florida...............but THIS YEAR????????????????? Whew!
"Whatever" as my teen said.
Got tons of rain and wind damage and beach erosion on the coast where daughter Liz and family live.............Eastport is where my Dad's family comes from BTW...............
I am still here and so are the horses.....oh yeah and my family <g>, but darn it we have way too much water even on the side of our mountain!! Still flooded today!
Needing to get the second cutting of hay in and dry!!! We only got 2/3 of the first cutting as it was raining for weeks on end back THEN! What wasn't in the barn was not down so it will be sold for mulch hay once we dry out and cut everything..........
I am praying for patience..................and thankful that we were so blessed, unlike our southern neighbors who are hit so hard by the Hurricanes.
Toska is having problems again and but I am hoping my friend/trainer and now licensed massage therapist for Equine and Canine who knows her well, can check her out and ease her AND let me know if I need the vet again..............Toska is SO stoic by nature, I fear she has been in a lot of pain I was not aware of until it manifested in lameness, after she was shut in her 12x24 stall during several days leading up to Kyle due to rain and winds toppling trees and flying branches etc. and after until the rain stopped here today.
So Kyle gave us a pass for the most part.........flooded the barn aisle a bit but not the stalls, no power for some time but here we are hanging in there......me going to the Drs. and getting gallons of blood drawn so we shall see how I really am although I prefer to keep on fighting the tears, pains and what not while pressing on, with your precious support and the love of my animals.....oh and my family too

Thanks for caring gang!
Hurricane in Maine......................come ON!
P.S.
Wondering how bad the coming winter blizzards and 70 mph winds will be this year....how many, how much and how strong....now they can be REALLY dangerous and VERY cold......hmm.................wouldn't be anywhere else and even have my plot picked out between my mother and my little grandson I lost after seven weeks...a great spot for all of us. So if I ever turn up my toes, you all heard it from me that I will reside in Wilton, Maine as a permanent resident, even after I do not have to pay taxes anymore!
Obviously due to conditions here, just read this tonight, FINALLY!
Love to you all and I am truly warmed by your kind hearts, prayers and remembering me when Kyle headed MY way.
