Western Carolina AHA is now accepting stallions for its 2008 All-Star Stallion Futurity Auction. Be a part of the fastest growing Futurity Stallion auction in the United States!

Those stallion owners who participated in the past, did so because of the benefits to them:

1. Inclusion among a VERY high-quality group of regional and nationally known stallions.

2. Exposure for three months at the beginning of the breeding season in two venues: multipage ads including photos and information on the participating stallions in the Arabian News, which is distributed to all the AHA clubs on the East Coast, including Region 12, 14, 15, and those in the Northeast. In addition, the stallions are showcased on the club's website at www.wcaha.org, where a direct link goes to the list of stallions, complete with photos and information, and rules and forms for bidding.

3. Particularly for stallions in the Midwest and West, added exposure on the East Coast, which includes very competitive Regionals and large numbers of potential breeding candidates.

4. A show format that requires amateur handlers, thus leveling the field so that conformation is paramount.

5. A free mare nomination that allows the stallion owner to breed and later show the resulting foal for themselves; or to "gift" that nomination to a person of their choice who bred a mare to the participating stallion. (Specific details of the nomination will be included in the certificate that will be sent to participating stallion owners.)

6. Minimum bid requirements of at least ˝ the stallion's regularly published stud fee.

We are looking at December 15th as a start date. The website is www.wcaha.org.

I'll let everyone know when we have the website updated. Last count was 41 stallions!!
