I have had this mare posted in the for sale section for a while with no takers so I thought I'd try here. Shanna Reflection is a 1994 model Crabbet-related mare (don't know her percentage) that is FREE to an approved home. She is loving and gentle and is a very good broodmare and an easy keeper. Please contact me for further information.
She has many productive years left and would be a great addition to a color breeder's program.
This mare was a rescue and MUST go to a good home.
Please note: Though the mare is FREE, all expenses involved in transporting her to her new home (health certificate, Coggins, etc.) are to be the responsibility of her new owner, and must be paid in full before the mare leaves the farm where she currently resides.

Here she is: PEDIGREE LINK ADDED, POST #5

Thanks for your consideration!

Just had a look at her pedigree and I wish I could take her!
Her sire is a grandson of Amerigo (sire of Khemosabi). His dam is out of a daughter of Golden Reflection, from Phara Farms. The first foal I bred was by Golden Reflection, and I so wanted a filly as a backup for my foundation mare but of course I got a colt! Also on the sire side is the inbred *Raffles son Bamby who sired several National Champions in performance.

On the dam side her sire is out of Al-Marah Blessing, a 3/4 sister to U.S National Champion Stallion Count Bazy and U.S. National Champion Park Seahorse Duke Dorsaz.... Her second dam is by Skorage, the magnificent Brusally Ranch foundation stallion who showed well into his 20s successfully and sired National winners in halter and performance. I wrote about him in the book Arabian Legends. Samara, her third dam, produced U.S. Top Ten Park Muzamar (also a National winner sire). Samara was bred by another longtime respected American breeder, the Mekeel Ranch (started breeding in the 1930s).

There is a strong Polish element here (Amerigo's dam was a Polish import, *Bask++ appears as dam's grandsire, and dam traces in tail female to the Dickinson Polish import *Przepiorka. But it's rare to see the old blood this close up now and I hope this mare gets the home she deserves and is bred from thoughtfully as this kind of blood is getting lost in the fad breeding today.

What a gorgeous little mare that is one of my favorite colors. I will have to see if I can send you a PM about her, once I figure out how to use it on this forum.

The Arabian stallion is magnificent, and the mare quite glamorous, but the airy-fairy foal is so delicate and fawn-like, he steals your heart away!

Let me see if I can add her pedigree here. She really is a lovely mare and a good producer. The palomino colt she had by my cremello QH stallion is outstanding, and he got her rabicano coloring as well.
Thank you for your thoughtful insights, Arlene!

Leafshadow,
All you do is click on ladycascabel's name and up will come several options. Click on "send message" and it will provide a box to type her a note. After you finish typing what you wished to say to her, you just hit "send". This is a very well bred, excellently conformed mare and obviously a super producer. Kind, sensible dispositions abound in these lines and she has had super care in these folks' hands. Her color is a considerable bonus, as well. I hope you can work something out. These horses all deserve great, permanent new homes now. Good luck!

You are most welcome. Always glad to help a rescue horse of excellent lineage. Sadly there are too many of these around-horses whose bloodlines aren't "fashionable" but are rock solid and the sort who SHOULD breed on, instead of the fashionable ones who have serious conformational flaws.

Oh, I would LOVE to have her here, she would fit in wonderfully! NM is a long way from Arkansas though, not sure I could scrape up shipping right now!

I hope you can. I can't afford to bring her to England or I would...that's how much I like her looks and pedigree. You won't find many bred like her anymore.

Perhaps you could post asking if someone who is going from NM to AR could give this lovely gal a ride? PerspectMA19366318-0001.gif
