Karin A. McMurtrie has owned and bred Arabian horses for 25 years. For much of that quarter century, her beloved horses were a respite from a challenging career in law enforcement and forensics. He looks to be fairly young here. His hocks are amazing! And I love the lightness of him - he looks like a blast to ride! biggrin.gif I bet he would cross well with Arabians!

Here's another video I found of him - I think its much better than the first. What a nice horse!

Nice horse. Stays nicely in frame. He must still be young in these videos. Watching the rider tells me he's working. Bet this guy is a handful. Lots of energy, he would be fun to ride.

Here is his sire. At about 3:20 it looks like he is parking it down the rail! Great movement.

thanks for posting! looks like the apple didn't fall too far from the tree wink.gif .

What I like about these guys, especially Rubin Cortes, is the correctness of the hindquarters. many of these fancy moving dressage horses are all front end without anything coming from behind. Rubin Cortes has an excellent hind leg - it really reaches up, forward & under, thus making him lofty and airy. Love it!

Totally agree that Rubin Cortes uses his back end better. I couldn't tell if both sire and son were ridden by the same person. So it is difficult for me to tell if that is because of training or conformation.
