Hello Everyone,
We are downsizing our farm to only a few riding/breeding mares and have several very nice colts for sale. We really need to find them good homes and are willing to listen to all offers. I will post a few photos. Video of some of them can be seen at www.sunsethillfarms.com on the Colts and Fillies page. Most video is from last spring, but we will update them as the weather allows. We welcome anyone or their representatives to come and see the horses in the flesh. They will not be disapointed. Thanks for taking the time to check them out.

If we don't sell them soon, we will put them on auction. Please make an offer if you are interesteed!!!! We would be interested in trading for a SE mare (preferably black) or an equal quality colt with Imperial or Ansata lines.

Sh-Amir Shaheen (Sahiba Turat x Aribesque (by Thee Infidel)) 2005 Black-Bay Colt; Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa
This big colt is full of energy and excitement. He should prove to be a tall and athletic, as well as extremely typey like both his sire and dam.

Sh-Amir Ali Raja (Sahiba Turat x Athiik Wahida (by Thee Desperado)) 2005 Black Colt; Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa
DNA Tested homozygous black!!!!
This colt is extremely well bred and out of one of our best mares. His pedigree is a Who’s Who’s of Egyptian horses.

Shamir El Azrak (Sahiba Turat x Sumr Shakahrah (by Kahrahj)) 2006 Grey Colt; Straight Egyptian
Azrak has an incredible “floating” trot with great extension. This colt has no "Minstril" blood and is tail female to the mare, 14 Bint Azza I.

Shamir Al Zair (Sahiba Turat x SP Desert Roufah (by Shamruk++)) 2007 Bay Colt; Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa
Al Zair is a very athletic colt typical of the Gleannloch breeding out of an awesome Shamruk daughter.

The following colts have not been registered to date, but we will provide all the paperwork.

Pending - Shamir Yateem (Sahiba Turat x Athiik Wahida (by Thee Desperado)) 2007 Bay Colt; Straight Egyptian, Al Khamsa
This is the last foal out of our beloved mare, Athiik Wahida, who died shortly after Yateem's birth. He is pure in strain Hadban Enzahi.

Pending - Shamir El Nasr (Sahiba Turat x Shir Tahmay (by HIA Sud Abnus)) 2007 Bay Colt; Straight Egyptian
This extremely refined and typey colt also possesses great movement with an extended "floating" trot. This colt is tail female to the illustrius mare, Sabrah.

Pending – unnamed (Sahiba Turat x Shir Tahmay (by HIA Sud Abnus)) 2008 Bay Colt; Straight Egyptian
This extremely refined and typey colt that is a full brother to El Nasr listed above.

Sh-Amir Shaheen (first two picts)
Sh-Amir Ali Raja (next two picts)
Shamir El Azrak (Next two (body and head)
Shamir Yateem (Pending (next two picts))

Shamir El Azrak has sold.
We wish him well at his new home in Oklahoma.

We still have several very nice colts available.

Sooo... let me see if I got this straight....you have to down size, you Are willing to send the colts to auction if we..the public do not buy them... What type of auction will you send them too?
But you are willing to trade for a SE MAre, to possibly make more colts !
maybe you should post this in the rehoming thread if you are going to send them to a meat buyer type auction?

Actually, she says she will put them "on" auction. I am assuming that would mean an online auction type thing. wink.gif

I love Raja. He is gorgeous, and has a lovely pedigree. Shaheen is also very very nice looking to me.
I wish you the best of luck. smile.gif

I hope you are right!!!
Unfortunately I have been seeing more and more adds stating they will take the horses to the Auction if not sold. And not the "good" kind of auction!

Dezi Woo,
Thank you for your concern. However, we really do not appreciate your comments. You have made some potentially damaging insinuations under the guise of questions. You do not know us at all and this is a classified add. If you are interested in a colt, please let us know. If you wish to open dialogue about breeding and responsibility, please PM us. We would be happy to talk.

Our first choice is to place these colts in good homes where they can be used and, as stated, we are willing to listen to offers for the right home. The colts will eventually need to be separated or gelded as their hormones kick in and we have considered selling them on an online auction format with a minimum bid that will deter any killer buyers from bidding. These are extremely nice colts. As for considering a mare in exchange, a mare can live happily with our other mares on the farm without any special accomodations. In today's market, we are open to the possibility of a trade if it worked out for both parties. If one has a mare, but would rather have a gelding or two that have less hormones to deal with, we would consider it in lieu of monetrary exchange.

In the future, we suggest you talk to the people before posting such potentially incendiary "questions" on an open forum. It takes very little in this world of high technology to smear a farm or horse which is very sad.

We accept the offered apology and carry no hard feelings as we do realize your concern was for the horses.

Thank you.
