Hi all, I've been referred here from my stallion training board because I havea question about pedigrees and marketing my new stallion. I'm glad to be a part of this group anyway- a breeders network, wow. bigemo_harabe_net-109.gif I own several horses, all arabians. My new one is a 3 year old Arabian stud colt, rose grey, big guy, Tersk Arabian background, bask on both sides. He is a love. bigemo_harabe_net-113.gif

Can someone tell me where to post his pedigree and so on to get the best results in figuring out the best way to market him? I need people who are familiar with pedigrees, bloodlines and who think big.

Thanks so much and, again, pleased to meet you all! And please let me know if I posted this correctly and in the right place.

Anne

Hi Anne, welcome aboard.

Do you have a website? In todays day and age that is an easy first step as many people like to check out photos and get other info before actually calling about a stallion.

If you don't have a site, boy have you come to the right place as this website offers its own web design program and can host it for you as well. It is an easy do it yourself program or you can hire one of the people on this site to do it for you.

I put off doing a website for years as I heard how much they cost and how difficult they were. I was able to build my own site in a few hours with the program they use here. And believe me I am no computer wiz!! My site is not perfect, but it is a start and I am finally on the world wide web, lol.

I no longer have my own stallion, but if I did, the thing I would do is first get him well trained in whatever discipline in which he will excel, then go get him some recognition in that discipline by competing.

Get someone like Arlene Majid -who can be found on this site she has her own thread- to do a pedigree research writeup, so you will know a lot more about your stallions background. (It really is not that expensive to get Arlene to do this for you when you realize just how much time she saves you looking all that info up yourself and she has resources most of us have never seen)

You need to figure out what level you want to promote him to and who you are trying to reach. Then, make sure you have quality photos for any kind of advertising you plan to do.

To get more suggestions, start a thread in one of the forums like AHSBA or the Arabian Cafe

WELCOME ABOARD, ANNE! As Webmaster Dean said, everyone here is more than willing to help you realize your goals!!! All you need do is ask. On this site we have several webbuilders, photographers, artists, writers, many breeders/trainers/exhibitors, all glad to lend you a hand. Just ask Dean about hosting and getting you started, it is a peach of a deal! GOOD LUCK!!!
