So this morning I recieve a email encouraging me to add about our farm and such.

Truly I would love to but heres the but
we are just a small hobby farm with out even a name! So maybe some of you could help me out with suggestions as to farm names.

I am open to all thoughts, and laughs.

Would like to have a farm name that would give the call letters of W&M
This is because I privately call it Walter's (my loving Husband) Misery ( as he is my go to man for all types of work, you know the honey do lists)

My prime interest is Davenport Arabians.

So guys why not give me a hand????

My status

I love the Whispered Memories idea. I use Arabian Whisper cause my horses whisper to my soul and that's kinda like the old Davenports whispering to you. Good one Kandie.

Kandie I also like the Whispered Memories Arabians
Sandstone I really like Wildwood Meadow Arabians, just not sure about the Meadow part, we live in a very small community on top of a small mountian.

Please keep them coming this could be quite a bit fun.

I thought of Whispered Memories for this reason,

Davenports are rare these days and have such a driving force behind Arabians being in America. (Which is also part of my Family Tree and history, Go Homer!)

To Me and to you as well Pembroke (And everyone else as well).. Davenports are Whispered Memories.. To me as I said they speak of Family History and being in Line with a man who brought everyone the gorgeous Arabian Horse. For you, it whispers of Arabian History and how far Arabians have come since the days of Teddy Roosevelt. With out Homer Davenport and without Arabians we may not have had Arabs in this country.

Davenports (as all horses that are the foundation of breeds) Should be celebrated and revered for what they bring to us.

BTW, THANKS for the Compliments! smile.gif

Whispered Moemories sounds really nice!!

I like Walter's Misery...will have to share that one with my hubby, who has been so sweet to learn how to feed horses, fix fence, and do all kinds of other handy things despite being a city boy smile.gif

HA HA HA!! I love it!

When people ask my hubby how many horses we have, he rolls his eyes and says, "I think such and such". It's at that point that I have to remind him we're up to 12. Will have 13 when she is weaned and hauls home in August. *shh* wink.gif

He's not into the horses, but he does what I need him to help with, and never has too many strokes over my choices in horsedom. bigemo_harabe_net-108.gif

Good luck with the farm name, it's alot of fun when you finally get one that makes it feel like "you". smile.gif

The Walter's Misery has been a private joke between us ( until now)
my husband had bad experiences with horses growing up and would never admit now that he really likes our horses, though I have caught him defending our CRAZY AY_RABS from time to time, and he had tons to say about their wonderful natures last week when his sister's paint tried to take a bite out of him.

The joke started when we learned our first mare we bought was pregnant and because of the size of the foal when our vet did a internal exam that we had as little time as a month to prepare. And this was in the beginning of FEB in New England!!!! We did not have the new barn built yet, just the plans drawn and our old barn was a tight squeeze. Lets just say he had very little time to figure out how to make it work, hence ever since it has been our private joke, Walter's Misery Farm.

I do like Whispered Memories, though. And the stallion I hope to breed my mare to this summer is named Memoir, maybe it is meant to be????
