I'm working on pedigrees of all the 2008 National winners to update my database today, and am delighted to report on one with a rare CMK sire. U.S. Top Ten Western Pleasure Maturity AOTR JLM Farraoh (unfortunately a gelding!) is by Farrada, who traces in sire line to the gorgeous Gulastra son Naharin.(snip)
It's nice to see the old blood winning at top levels.
I found a video of JLM Farroah here:
JLM Farroah WP video at Scottsdale '08I am no pedigree expert, but I have a few tiny areas where I know a little something. I took a look at the pedigree, and noticed that the sire line goes through the Naharin son, Amir Farah, who was my mare Amira Farah's sire. (my mare, Amira Farah who was born in 1993, is a Naharin granddaughter.)
Farrada's sire, Ibn Farah (Amir Farah x Shirika), was bred by the Cullitons of Sun Shadows Arabians. Amir Farah, like Red Tape's dam Delaharin (who was also bred by the Cullitons), was by Naharin and out of a Shirik daughter. Ibn Farah has two lines to Shirik. (If my memory of the story is correct, the Cullitons won Shirik (Indraff x Kae) as a colt in a raffle from Al-Marah.)
I have photos of Amir Farah and Shirik here:

http://faeriecourtfarm.com/Amira_Farah.htmlUnfortunately, my beloved mare, Amira Farah, appears to be finished having foals after just two foals. (She did not get in foal this year and the uterine biopsy results are not encouraging.) I do have a lovely filly from 2007, FCF Faerie Fire by Naibara Blaze Man (another source of some very fine old lines) to carry on these old bloodlines within the CMK context. Interestingly, Amira Farah (and her two foals) have lines to three of the Cullitons' primary stallions--Naharin (3 lines), Shirik, and Hazam Bey.
Going forward with these fine old lines:
