Paradise Egyptian Stud is pleased to announce that the Al Lahab son, Jadoube Ibn Lahab DMF, will be standing here beginning this fall!! He is absolutely stunning and is very much his sire, World Champion Al Lahab, in looks and type, but will have more size.

So I have posted this in the rescue/rehoming but have been told I should post it here.

I know nothing about lines but people told me that he looks like he may have some Egyptian lines in him!

He is about 14.1hh, gelding, chestnut rabicano, skunk tail. The vet puts him at around 11 years of ago, but he has damage to his teeth making him hard to perfectly age. sad.gif

He was seized by animal control in August 2005 in NC and have recently gotten out of court and is now mine smile.gif smile.gif

He is sweet as can be, very loving, a bit scared of whips, seems to have been trained CEP or EP? as he knows what a double bridle is and goes VERY well in a double bridle. He knows how to "halter" pretty well. I took him to a local open show and he was very "Ho hum" like he'd been there, done that.

The previous owner said he was registered and shown but didn't have papers. I have been looking in Datasource but so far haven't found him.

Congratulations! He looks like a very sweet horse who is happy to have a place called home!

I would love to help you with your horse's lineage. Do you have ANY names from his pedigree?

No names at all. Just that the lady who had him said he was Egyptian or part-egyptian and that he had been shown and she "saved" him from someone.... well then she almost killed him.

She refuses to turn over papers, she said she had them but never transfered, won't tell us where she got him or anything.

It's horrible because I'm coming to find out that he is a very well trained horse for CEP. Knows voice commands on the lunge and undersaddle, canters when you kiss, hand gallops if you kiss twice, stops DEAD if you say ho, knows how to walk off on a loose rein... He KNOWS his stuff.

I've been searching data source, one state at a time. Almost have east of the mississippi done, been searching faol years 1994 tp 2000 (even tho the vet thinks about 10 to 12)... no luck so far.

I will find him, some how. I just KNOW that at one point, I think someone had to care for this horse. I know I do smile.gif

He is a beautiful boy!!! And kuddos to you for taking him in!
And he has super distinct markings on his face - if they were marked properly at birth it should be pretty easy to find...however with that being said it certainly is not always as easy as that. As he could be registered wrong colour even (that happens)
I certainly hope you do find out who he is even if you cannot obtain papers. I know the feeling as i have a few older ones myself that came without and it is like searching for a needle in a haystack going thru the years etc.

I never thought that he could have been registered the wrong color. All they had to do was be sloppy and check the wrong box!

I have been searching "roan" incase. Hm. Maybe I"ll search bay next wink.gif

Hopefully his face markings were marked right! I've also been looking at any markings that are SIMILAR but not connected with the stripe. Only part of the stripe has white skin under it, so it may not have been all the way connected when he was little. Same think with his left hind sock. As of right now, it wrapped around his coronet, but it might not have been that way when he was young.

I hope hope hope he's not a half blood smile.gif Not that I won't love him, but it's a lot harder to search for!!!!
