I want to wish a very Happy Birthday to our mare LS Sierra Ley (Sir Port Bask x Ley Jay Rhonda, by Baharr). Sierra is 26 yrs young today. You can't tell her she is old. She can keep up with the youngsters and still has alot of get up and go. She's done a bit of everything: english, western, halter, dressage, trails, had 8 foals - 3 of which were sold to dressage homes, and was canadian warmblood approved at age 19. She is so precious to us. We use her as a babysitter and teacher to the younger horses. She tells them what is acceptable and what isnt. She's totally sound too so we take her out for a ride still as well as she loves it. Her trade mark is her very soft nicker she gives you when she wants something: either to come in, or saying thank you for being brushed, etc. She's a treasure and she knows it.
Pics were taken a few weeks ago when she still had some winter fur and was a bit dirty, but happy and fat and just enjoying life.
