Some people are lukewarm about life. They amble mildly along with few dreams, aspiring to little, achieving little, never really experiencing living to the fullest, and never particularly effecting or changing anything. People like that don't leave much of a legacy.

I think I am somewhere in the middle, not huge but not too compact (talkin' herd-wise here, NOT commenting on body style, lol!)

HA Cyclone 2004 gr. s.(*Garnizon X HA Cotton - MS Santana dtr.) PP future sire of working western Arabs, hopefully! Basic training starts in 2007, to be shown in working cowhorse/trail in 2008 by prof. trainer.

HF Geneva - gr. m. 1996 - (*Origan X *Geneza) Successful race mare. PP future broodmare to Cyclone, but first stop is BACK to HF Aransas (Samtyr X Arra - *Bandos dtr.)for 2007 breeding.

La Banditta (*Gondolier X *El Banda - *Bandos dtr.) Absolutely stupendous working western-bred horse! PP gr. m. 1993 - to be bred to Cyclone in 2007.

AlakazaamBP (Farenhyte X AH Ambrozja - *El Paso dtr.) PP 2004 gr. f. - to start training in 2007 for trail/gen. riding, then in 2008 go to prof. trainer for working cowhorse. Comes w/breeding to Celzeus of BlackPegasusArabians!

KRA Fahleen (Desperado V X Bint Task) Polish/dom. cross bay mare 2001. In training, possibly bred to Cyclone in 2007.

IV Bon Temp Rouge (*Grojor X T 20 US Nat.Halter mare, Egyptian/dom.) ch. m. 1996. Riding and all around doing mare extraordinaire. Has done cattle work, endurance riding, gymkhana, trail riding, barrels, etc., etc.! Pony horse, rescue (i.e., rescuing runaways off of her back!! UNBELIEVABLE Reiner! To be bred to Cyclone at some point, just hate to give up one of my best riding mares to pregnancy!! lol....

Begonia V (Windstorm V X Baleselle) 7/8 Polish gr. m. 1995. Best riding mare in the whole universe! Probably won't be bred due to my deep love of riding her, just won't give up that much time for a foal, as she is my best bud!

Mark IV Evergreen (*Bask X Buszlana - *Buszmen dtr. out of Rapture dtr.)1978 gr. m. bred by Ray LaCroix, producer of FOUR US/Can. Nat. Ch. Res., and/or TT reining/west. eq./trail horses!!! Mark V, Mark VI, Mags Mystery and Marliera, all sired by *Gondolier and bred by Magness Arabians! Still with us, thank God, still gorgeous and still THE QUEEN! WHAT a treasure she is!!

10-15 neighborhood cats I feed (yes, I have named them all, but won't bore you poor folks!)

indoor cats - Ysabeaux - rescued Siamese colored, blue eyed, persian haired female - 3 yrs. old., and Voo Doo - her black, semi long haired daughter. And Simone, 5 wk. old rescued kitten, one-eyed, but happy as she can be, fat and sassy now!

My stupendous daughter who is my reason for living! Raissa! They just don't come anymore wondrous than she!

Th-th-that's all, folks! lol...

I will get some taken this week and hopefully developed. Being the not-so-swift (in EVERY sense of that word!) photographer, it may be the first of next week before I can get them to a friend w/scanner. I PROMISE to get it done, tho. FINALLY got a new video done, so haven't even reviewed it, but will! Have patience w/the elderly, I really am going to post, love to share the cowponies! Evergreen is SUCH a prima donna, of course! I watched her chasing a gelding around the pasture today, less than HALF her age and BOY was he running!! Guess he pi**ed the Queen off, huh? lol...shoulda known bettah!

Wow, what a great group of horses you have! I am looking forward to seeing some pictures, too!

Tell Begonia V "hello" from her slightly older half-sister, VJ Summer Breeze (by Windstorm V x Basquilette, by *Bask). Breeze is a 1994 baby. I am really impressed with the WindStorm V mares I've seen so far, they all seem to have inherited this very calm attitude and want to be your best friend. Not sure if it's genetic or what but it's neat. I feel lucky to have one.

Thanks tremendously, Lisa, as always! I just went and got the film, so will try and get some decent shots tomorrow or Sat. Begonia V and I did NOT get along for a LOOONNNGGG time when she arrived! To be honest, I considered trading her back for some other mare, but something always held me back, hmmm....QUITE the clash of headstrong females! Through much time and maturity and compromise, we have grown to deeply revere and love one another! Honestly, she has been one of my BEST teachers. Have to tell you a VERY ironic anecdote. Wanted a horse from Varian Arabians for my whole life. FINALLY took a chance, called Sheila, told her what I wanted and SHE picked out Begonia. Out of over a hundred horses she had then, that is whom she chose for me. I am NOT a flower/plants/garden kinda woman, BUT the only plant I have owned continuously since early teens is.....yep...a BEGONIA!!!! How bizarre is THAT??? Had to laugh at the "fates" when Sheila told me the name of the mare she chose for me! WOW! Turned out, in the long run, she was right. One of the finest mares I ever rode! WHAT a learning experience and a bonding! Incredible mare! She is the indisputable herd boss! Drop-dead gorgeous, too! I just love her! She is not "gushy" but still is quite affectionate, just all on HER terms, lol! Soooo like her "mama", me! Ain't life funny???

Triple H,
I began studying Polish pedigrees with MUCH fervor and intensity in the early 60's and am STILL studying with equal passion! And I have MUCH, MUCH to learn, feel as if I have just started compared to folks like the Poles of the State studs there, our own John Schiewe, Marsha Parkinson, and several other lifelong devotees of this strain. I learn more each day from folks such as they, hope I am learning in my 90's!! We should all want to share w/one another what we have learned as all of our experiences are different and each knows things the other has not yet learned. This is what a forum such as this is all about, I think! I look forward to the continuing learning experience with great anticipation!

Hi Cyclone!

Great story about Begonia V! Life is strange sometimes. I'm glad it worked out well and you are happy with each other. My Breeze is really sweet but she used to be just one horse in a boarding farm and didn't get to interact much with the other horses. Now she is out with 3 other mares and she's not quite as friendly as she used to be (she is ranked #3 out of the 4 mares so she has to wait for me to come to her to get attention). She is enjoying being out and being a horse, though!

When you have time, could you tell us who's who in your avatar? Lots of nice looking horses but I don't know which one is which, LOL!

Hope Simone is doing well!

ofirarab,
sure, be glad to! The chestnut - IV Bon Temp Rouge (*Grojor X T20 Halter Egypt./dom.cross mare), REALLY chunky grey, short tail, La Banditta (*Gondolier X (*El Banda, *Bandos dtr., traces to *Elizaa), lighter grey, long tail, more slender grey mare - HF Geneva (*Origan X *Geneza, by *Pepton), bay mare, Fahleen (Desperado V X Bint Task), med. grey mare, thinner tail, split ear, typier head - Witnica (Arwitraz X Blochers Poula - by Eldans Wotan). Upright, standing dark grey, elegant neck - my foundation sire - HA Cyclone (*Garnizon X HA Cotton - *Aladdinn dtr. out of an MS Santana dtr., whom is out of a Negatiw dtr.). Think I got 'em all, thanks for asking, gf!
Yes, kind of you to inquire, Simone LOOKS like ######, but is apparently FEELING chipper as all get out (CANNOT figure out how, she had the bad eye removed by my wonderful vet last Fri.!)and is eatng, playing, purring, kissing, and jumping up to be picked up as if NOTHING had ever hindered her. What a brave and noble animal! I could take lessons, and I tell her so every day! I tell her she is my hero! What a cat! Stitches come out in one more week! All seems to be healing just beautifully!

Cool! Thanks for the rundown of who's who. I like HF Geneva, she's very pretty (they all are but she stands out to me every time I see your avatar).

Glad to hear Simone is doing well. Our little Maserati is going to stay with us. One of our adult cats loves her, he thinks she is his toy and they have the best time playing together. Hubby says now we can't give her away or else Barnie will be unhappy. Awww!
