Bob,
Last time I heard about Max he was your foundation stallion? Did something happen where he had to be gelded? He's an amazing and beautiful horse and has sired some very nice horses as well. I'm sure he will make someone a very very fine gelding!

Hey Cassie,
Yes Max was our stallion that we bred and raised and he did produce some incredible foals for us. It was never our intention to stand a stud and after he had proved himself in the ring (halter and performance) and the breeding shed we needed someone to take over his career as a stud. After an advertising campaign to sell him no one stepped up so it was either adapt to having a stallion or geld him. Because I work away from the farm so much we opted for the gelding part.
Just so we are clear nothing happened with Max to make it necessary to geld him. He was a sweet, easy going boy as a stallion. Respectful and always a willing he has a great personality and loves to work. The best part of his becoming a gelding is he will now get to romp and play with other horses.
Need a good amateur horse who will be ready for a youth PDQ?
