Hi,
Here is some history, in case you didn't know, a condensed version! I will post more photos later.

*AN Malik was born in 1970 in Spain. In 1972 at the first WAHO meeting which was held at the Spanish National Show, *AN Malik was National Champion Stallion. He was then bought by my Grandparents. *AN Malik was never shown in this country however he is the All time leading Spanish sire of winners and National Winners. This is a record that will never be broken. He was an exceptional horse in every sense. Beauty, conformation, siring ability and disposition.Attached File  Malik_2.JPG ( 20.01K ) Number of downloads: 33

AN Magno was sired by *AN Malik and out of CC Montessa who was also bred by my Grandparents. CC Montessa is an Aristocrat mare producing National and International winners such as AN Magno, GG Magnetic, GG Magneto, GG Magnetism. She is also the grand dam of this years Scottsdale Champion gelding GG Champgagne. She is also in the pedigrees of Echo Magnificoo and SS Major Afire. I have to scan the photos I have of AN Magno in. But I am attaching a photo of his Grand Dam AL Nahr Faith and his Great Grand dam Raffa. Attached File  RAFFA.JPG ( 83.7K ) Number of downloads: 35

Thanks Christie, do you also have a pic of GG Maestro, my mare's sire? Gorgeous pics of An Malik and An Magno's grand dam, my mare looks so similar, it's scary! ( not quite, pretty amazing so many generations removed).

Since the Spanish Arabian is from a very close (and closed) genepool.. they breed on there traits remarkably well. The YM has certain traits they bred for (like the hind ends, athleticism, imo.. the spanish eyes) so many of the traits that a Spanish Arabian will pass on to his foals, the dam is also passing on.. many of them are "homozygous" for the trait (for a lack of a better term). This means that each generation will usually look like the ones before (ofcourse, they get better and better hopefully, but the Spanish type seems to endure.. even when crossing to different strains) The Spanish Arabian Horse Society has some wonderful info on there website one the history of the Spanish arabians, pretty fascinating stuff.

Wow Christie !

I don't know why I missed this topic until now . I am just amazed by this story and the picture of An Malik . He was just a giant of the breed. What an excitment to be involved with such a fascinating horse.

Would love to see pics of AN Magno .
