Here's a photo my husband, Scott, took. We have lived at this farm for almost 30 years - in a grove of trees to the south of our driveway there are some bulbs that were planted before we even moved here. They have come up every year and aside from my kids picking them and bringing them to me because they thought they were pretty - they are there after good rains. I had always thanked the kids for picking them for me - but told them it's better to leave them as they are and enjoy them that way. Picked they're dead - let them be and they live for days. We'd just had a good rain (about 1.5 inches) after months of terrible heat and no rain - and these beautiful delicate little flowers came up in September. Here's a photo of them -
