The way it was told is the club and AHA are two deals... you pay AHA dues of course, and AHSBA has its dues... AHA only wants the club number.. and that your name is on the club list.. now as far as the Region 14 we have to pay a dollar pre member to them ... we dont have that many member to worry about that..
also the lady I talk to was out of town, we will have the club set up through AHA's website.. I am learning as I go... we also have to start talking about the issues at hand... and how we all feel about them, I am stick in the mud on most all issues and have a hard core stand.. LOL... that's why I dont post much teehee...
The strange thing is I recieved a 28.00 dollar check in the mail form AHA? still didn't do anything with it until I talk to AHA, I was hoping to have 10 to 15 dollar club fee.. if people feel they want to ... if not I dont want people to feel we want into there pockets... We want in to the "minds"

and work together on common issues... sorry im not a writer

So what you get by becoming members of AHSBA is simply you are a member of the forum AHSBA, but you are not an AHA member. Therefore no AHA magazine or other AHA member perks or programs.
So basically, you will meet the requirement of 10 full paid AHA members as your club nucleus to hold onto your charter, but you are not going to try and grow the AHA membership of your club?
I am only asking not critisizing. It is just that you get one voting delegate for convention as a club and an additional delegate for every 50 paid AHA members. But of course that means added cost to those who just want to be a part of AHSBA for the fun. And maybe at this point attending convention is not a priority. I know our local club has rarely sent a delegate as we do not have the money to offset the costs and we do not have members with the money who could pay their own way.
