Some people are lukewarm about life. They amble mildly along with few dreams, aspiring to little, achieving little, never really experiencing living to the fullest, and never particularly effecting or changing anything. People like that don't leave much of a legacy.

lets not stretch the truth here. Iowa is a nice place to live IF you like unpredictable weather, humid summers, and cold winters, and bugs.

I can not complain I have live in Iowa all my life.

so when you moving? Have you picked a city yet? giggle

well maybe where you live Moonlight, bu here most of them are not so great. I am not predjudice but the hispanics are taking over. Just this past weekend there was a shooting at one of the nice night clubs (for college kids mostly) a hispanic guy shot two other hispanics. I know that happens all the time but not here. Ottumwa is trying to be bigger than it is and the city councel cant seem to understand that this town is made up of mostly low/middle and poverty level families.

What is wrong with Minnesota/ Wisconsin??????? You are a bit farther north so your weather is what even more unpredictable and the winters colder.
If it was not for the hurricanes I would move farther South. MMMM warm weather year round.

Why do you think I moved where I did? I'm finally happy with the area, but not entirely certain I'd want to reside here till the day I die, but until I figure out my life's ramblings, I'm happy. wink.gif

I suppose your are right...... I am such a home body that I guess it really doesn't matter what happens in "town". I go to town 3 times a week, Friday is grocery shopping and bill paying day and Tuesday and Thursday is library day (they have story time one day then a juggler, vetrilaquist, puppet show, or something like that the other day.

I am still in city limits but I live in the part of town that unless you have a lot of money for the 3-600,000 dollar homes you need not come out this way, unless you want to live way way out in the boonies.

We had a rash of burgleries going on and it did not take long for everyone to rally together and really watch each others property. There are alot of folks around here who work very hard for what they have and will guard it with loaded guns. Didn't take long for the word to get around because the burgleries stopped about as quick as they started.

For the most part I like where I live it is comfortable and we are close to town still on pavement (taxes kill us but.....)

Well, I grew up between the WI/IL boarder and N. AZ- We traveled alot! I've lived in all of the Great Lake states, CA, Guam, now live in N. Central FL.....I think it's time for a change again. lol I'm totaly used to unpredictable weather, drive by shooting, burglery...etc. It's just a part of life, big town or small town. The size of the town dictates what type of justice comes your way though. wink.gif

What town does Jody Strand live in? Does he have any brothers? biggrin.gif I'm looking for a new husband...... :P
