I all I'm a newbie here.
I have one of those rare jewels, a mare of the Abbeayn Sharrak strain tracing to the Davenport Import Haffia. This strain is Disapearing from breeding today, so few tail female horses are left. As I found this out I decided it was time to start to try and make a difference, time to see if I could do something to help save a dying strain. So I have decided to dedicated my program to Abbeyan Sharraks. My mare is In foal for 08. We are hopeing for a filly.
To futher my cause I have begun to make a list of all living Tail female Abbeyan Sharraks in the Us and eventually the world. At this time it is a rather sad list with only 35 tail female horses gracing its pages. I'm sure that there are more out there but I have been haveing a hard time of it. Some of the horses i'm not even positive are still living just that they should be. Any help anyone could supply would be most apperciated. Also if anyone has no knows of someone with a tail female Abbeyan SHarrak horse please contact me IMEDIATLY!
Also I have been having trouble finding if there are any tail female horses left in AL Khamsa and SE breeding. As of 1997 there were only 4 with in SE and with Al Khamsa I have been told that there are no tail female horses left within AK but it is yet uncomfirmed by Al Khamsa.
Here are several photos of my Abbeayn Sharrak mare, she has the added bonuses of being black, a black producer, endowed with amazing movement and a wonderful temperment. smile.gif
Thank you all
Gabe

I believe this boy traces to Abbeyan Shararak through the mare Haffia.

[Hello My Name is Khabira I have four mares that are Abbayan sharrak and one stallion that is also of the same strain. Their tail female line trace to a Saudi bred mare name Turfa. and muhairah. some have question Turfa strain but according to the Saudi documents Turfa was Abbayan Sharrak. I to am trying to preserved this rare tail female line. Also I do not call my Asil Al Khamsa Arabians by no other name than Asil Arabians as the Bedouins do not call the horses by Egyptians or Saudi or Syrian Just Asil Arabians. Strain names is what they carry and what the Bedouins care About. I am So Happy that you too want to continue this rare strain here in the Usa. As we too look for the best stallions to breed our rare tail female line Abbayan Sharrak. Thank you and God bless you much. if God wills maybe in he near future we can do some exchange breedings to help preserved this rare line.

I really would love to hear more about this unique strain. Please, tell us more about your mares and a stallion!

This desert mare is Abbeayn Seheili strain. The breeder name is Motlaq N. Seheili from the Shammar tribe.

The sub strain "Sharrak" is the family name as with the Seheili family.
