CP AMBITION is a predominantly Polish stallion with a remarkable heritage. His sire and three of his four grandparents are National winners and three of his grandparents have produced National winners. His pedigree features four close lines to U.S. National Champion Stallion and Park BASK++, the breed’s all time leading sire of champions, National winners, and National winner producers.

The Institute for the Desert Arabian Horse is producing a reference book entitled The Babson Influence: A Retrospective. The author has requested that the American Foundation Arabian Horse Association submit an article on the Early American Foundation and American Foundation Arabian horses of Babson descent and what they are doing today.

If you would like to have your EAF or AF or AFB Arabian horse of Babson descent included in the article, please contact me.

Thanks for your participation!

Check out the current issue of the AHA magazine, Modern Arabian Horse, for an article celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Babson importation.

Why is this thread gone flat line?
Doesn't people know how important the early Babson Stock are?
Not all of his imports where Egyptian he brought in some fabulous English, and Polish horses too.
With out Babson we would not have some of the finest horses to grace the show arenas.
*Fadl sired:
Abou ( Fadl x Nadda)
...Bint Abu ( Abou x Yatana) dam of Lallegra US National Champion Mare Lallegra dam of SuperX and Cedardell Heritage.
Imamara (Imaraff x Bint Abou ) dam of Tsatyr.
Ababa ( Abou x Yatana ) dam of Hajababa, 1963 US National Champion Senior Stallion, Syn-Ababa +

Dinah (Fadl x Fetyszia) dam of Aahdin + 1966 US TT Halter Stallion.
Fa Gazal (Fadl x Kostrzewa ) dam of Gafad
Fa - Rahna (Fadl x Yatana )Fadheilan ( Fadl x Kasztelanka) dam of Hassan Pasha who was in turn the sire of Haj-Amin US TT English Pleasure 1951
Sahra Su ( Indraff x Fa-Rahna) who was the dam of Synbad US National Champion Stallion, and High Fashion US National Champion Mare.
Fadahma (Fadl x Bint Bint Sabbah ) dam of Risab.
Fadheilan (Fadl x Kasztelanka) sire of Fadjur was voted a Living Legend.
*Sulejman sired:
AM Sulejman (Sulejman x Balena)
Fetyszia (Suljeman x Fa-Ghagaha) dam of Fetaffa
Komsul ( Suljeman x Komir)
Su-Rahna ( Suljeman x Yatana )
Tobruk ( Suljeman x Fazala )
*Nimrod sired Bayrod
*Aldebar sired Durral, Baarouf, Zabba dam of Zab.

I have found so many Champions andd Living Legends that trace to Mr Babson's breeding program I am totally impressed at the scope. This does not include his long list of Egyptian horses the above partial list isjust some of his imports and their out crosses.
I am of the opinion that everything matters not just the flavor of the moment. Research the pedigrees on Datasource and you will find these horses ran in the best circles. Their owners established their names as breeders from thesesame horses progeny.

Val

I completely agree with you, our senior stallion, JS Padronov is out of a 3/4 Babson mare (Maarlee) and his consistency as a sire is one of the best I have ever seen. Our junior stallion, Zeus MR is by Padronov out of a Babson related mare and has many crosses to the great Babson imports. I have been told by many old time breeders that he looks like he stepped off the Babson ranch.

Now you can't put up a statement like that without pictures!!! That's just teasing to those of us who are interested in the Babson lines and are going to want to enjoy seeing modern stock that still shows the Babson influence smile.gif
