I've just gotten my August 2007 Arabian Horse World (the magazine takes 6 weeks to get to England) and was saddened to see all the errors in the *Padron tribute. As I am sure a number of people will be using the information, I wanted to make sure people knew some of it was bad. I suspect the World took information from Boggs as there are two horses listed who won at the MN Fall Fest show who are NOT National winners, and Boggs is known for claiming Fall Fest is a National competition!
List of *Padron National Winners
Three horses on this list are NOT National winners.
FAX by *Padron has no show record. The FAX+ who won the National titles is actually a Half-Arabian, foaled in 1985, out of the purebred mare WRA Power Galore and sired by an Oldenburg stallion.
JDJ Patriarch is described as "1996 Minnesota National Showcase 1st Place, Colts of 1985". This is NOT a National title, this is the Minnesota Fall Fest show. This horse has two class A ribbons in halter as a 3 year old gelding!
Padrons Bask "1986 Minnesota National Showcase Top Six Colt of 1986" Once again, same show, no National win! This horse has NO class A show record.
*Padron Daughters Who Have Produced National Winners
"Vita Padron" should be "Evita Padron"
One mare omitted-Crimsonn Rose (x LF Omega Rose), dam of 1998 U.S. Top Ten Futurity Gelding HL Fifth Dmension
