Hello everyone,

Here's a little bit about me and my new farm:

Homola Horse Haven is a new facility in SW Oregon near Roseburg. We stand 1 stallion at stud: HJ BeiJing (Bey Shah x Bint Nejran).

Our goal is to breed sound-bodied AND sound-minded Arabian horses with natural versatility. We don't just want our horses to specialize; our goal is to breed a true companion animal who is willing to do anything asked of him/her.

Here's a pic of our "Jing":

Thanks for reading a little bit about us!

All the best,

Karen,

Since this is our first year, we're starting out small. Our mare is RDR Summer Breeze (Carbonado x Naarest). Here is an older pic of her with one of her NSH foals:

Attached File  breeze1.jpg ( 101.12K ) Number of downloads: 46

Next year's foal will be her FIRST purebred. I've heard that the Nabiel and Bey Shah lines cross really well, so I'm VERY excited to see how our first baby turns out!

Breezy is not broke to ride (yet); however, she moves really well at liberty and has a nice floating trot. My goal is to get her under saddle this Fall.

Wish us luck!

THANKS!!! I can't take credit for the pic, as it was taken before I owned him; however, its the best action shot I have of him so far...

Thx again!

Thanks Shan!

Unfortunately, the foal is not mine... The pic was taken a few years ago by Breezy's previous owners. I believe the foal in that pic is Pure Fame (HAHA# 1A339006 by Super Lucky Fame), although its hard to tell with just the top of the hip and ears... wink.gif

If it is Pure Fame, he is now doing EXTREMELY well in Sport Horse and Hunter Pleasure... I am so excited!!!

Also, I found out that Breezy is now a grand-dam. Too cool!

In Memory of ?Ali?

Today the Homola family mourns the loss of our dear friend and companion, Ali. As a true testament to the Arabian spirit, Ali fought hard to stay with us, but in the end the pain was too much for him to bear. Such a noble creature deserves to pass on with dignity so we gave him the last and best gift we could. Alaa Jamil (AHA# 382737) was humanely put to sleep last night shortly before midnight due to a twisted gut.

Ali was our son?s first horse. He was gentle, patient, and understanding. A parent couldn?t ask for a more trusted soul to watch over their child as s/he learns about horses. Minor mistakes were overlooked and all was forgiven with a gentle pat, a kiss on the muzzle, and an apple treat.

His nickers at feeding time earned him his nickname, ?The Harley Horse?. His brisk trot and flagged tail always brought a smile to our faces as we watched him stretch his legs. Under saddle, he did anything and everything asked of him, even when he would rather jump, than walk over a small bridge.

When the time comes for us to cross over the Rainbow Bridge, we know that Ali will be there waiting for us with his not so soft nicker. Ali will be remembered for his gentle nature, determined spirit, and loving personality.

Our sincere appreciation goes out to Dr. Russ with Bailey Veterinary in Roseburg for his compassion and professionalism during our difficult time.

Sincerely,

Sharlyn, Jason, and Sam Homola
