Welcome to Arabian Breeders Network
Love N' War Arabians
The addition of MS FIREDEVIL promises to add another level of excitement to our Polish breeding. He is available to the public by shipped semen. There is no memory for me, of not loving horses, when I remember nothing else I will love Arabian horses.

I turned my horses out this am, and burrr, it is cold ? cold enough to snow, but that hasn't happened luckily!

However, my water tanks had a skim of ice on them - much to the amusement of my 4 month old colt. He was certainly surprized to meet up with the ice when he attempted to take a drink from the tank! I had to go in with the shovel and break the ice, guess it is time to put in the heaters and insulate the tanks.

All my older horses are use to the chilly temps, but I did notice two of the older mares had their tails tucked tight this morning! Burrrrrr.

That's why I moved south, H!

Had enough of Wisconsin winters....

We had frost this a.m. with a light ice on the water tanks. Not enough yet to put the tank heaters in.

Cold and raining at the barn...brought Belle in ...her "waterproof" turnout sheet is not behaving like a WATERPROOF sheet...grrrrr....got her acceptably dried off, did her Honey Chill Chaser under the sheet to keep her warmer and hopefully drier!

MI winters stink...grrrr

LOL

well, we don't have really bad winters here in TAIKSUS, but I still am in the long, expensive process of buying all leventy-leven of mine a waterproof turnout. By the way, Robin, Weatherbeeta makes some of the best and www.countrysupply.com has them on sale right now, BIG TIME!! Just an FYI. I have to buy a jillion, so you can bet I am looking for the best prices! They always have them, on other stuff, too, check out their online catalogue.
Anyhoo...gotta go saddle up the "Rocket Launcher", Rouge, chest. mare in my avatar and see if she will let me ride, or....LAUNCH, in this cold weather, lol! WOOOHOOO, TO DAH MOON, ALICE! lol

We are doing the Indian summer thing . They say it might get up to 70 today but was 20 this morning when I fed . It's been like that for the last 4-5 days . I'm trying to hold out until Nov. 1 to put out de-icers and turn on the furnace . I know I'll get caught with my pants down - I still have to water my trees because it's dry and I have @400' of hose all over the yard . It won't be the first winter my hoses stayed out under snow frozen to the ground bigemo_harabe_net-133.gif

Robin in Michigan: My aunt and uncle live in Grand Rapids, MI - they tell me the weather changes from one extreme to another in the span of a day - especially in the winter. Guess that is "lake effect". LOL.

They say it will snow tonite in Detriot, for the World Series 2nd game being played there. That ought to keep those ballplayers on their toes! Ha.

Someone ask me today, "Are you ready for Winter?" My reply was "No, but I am ready for Spring"!

Oh, gosh, i hate to tell you all.. I went riding today! Let's put it this way... a little cold, a lotta wind, slick windbreaker type pants sliding on the saddle, Plus a hot horse... wheeeeeeeeeeee!

Just did a little ride around the block, 4 miles... but it felt good to get out!
