Beautiful scenery, and I agree looks terribly COLD! Are you in any of these pics? How do you get your horse to cross that deep water? I don't have any deep water areas near me and mine are stupid about stepping in a puddle LOL!

i'm on the old red horse, riding in some with the guy on the khemo bay (only guy on competitor, the other ones in pics are the safety crew) i think our numbers are 78 and 79. we've seen those creeks/###### damned caused, and they can't mess with the beaversm in previous years... the reason the young bay is so close to the old horse is because we tested him the day before competition and he went thru so fast he made a wake that got the top of the saddle wet, so the old horse had to slow him down...

In our experience, both in the past (CTR, Endurance) and present (Eventing) it's much easier to get a horse into a large body of water than it is a puddle. Most horses see no reason whatsoever for going through a puddle.
