Whether you know of an Arabian needing to be rehomed, or are perhaps looking to give a good, loving home to an Arabian in need, there is now a much needed resource available. Arabian Horse Rehoming Resource is a wonderful grassroots organization whose sole purpose is to help our beloved Arabians. The mission of the Arabian Rehoming Resource is

raising funds for the purpose of assisting Arabians that are in need
Right now, a BOD is being established to determine how/where funds are allocated & we're brainstorming fundraising ideas, including an online auction.

Thank you Dean & Heidi for your support! wub.gif

I think that they are doing a great job! Spread the word so more horses can be rescued! Keep up the good work!

Kind regards Camilla

Do these folks do any workin California?

With the death of my mom, if I do not place several of my horses, I will have to make some tough decisions.

I sent 3 emails last year and never got a responce. It seems as though a horse whom isn't in trouble but needs to be rehomed for some reason isn't a high priorty for people who rescue and re-home. Just speaking from my experence.

Good luck to those who are trying to find homes. And.. I truely mean that. My post is not supposed to be sarcastic just disappointing. The thought of re-homing my guy was a tough one. I wanted to do what was best for him because I do care about him. My guy who suffers from sweet itch here where I live is coming home next weekend. If he ends up like he was 2 years ago when I moved him to a friends he will need to be put down.

Wow, and that was before the economy went to heck in a handcart.

A Nor Cal Rescue is offering $25 Euthanasia. I thought that was fabulous. They currently have enough donations to put to sleep 50 horses.

I also wonder if any of the large Cat(Santuaries) facilities take in horses.

Debi,

Are you referring to e-mails you sent to the Arabian Horse Rehoming Resource? If so, please give me the details of that. I answer ALL e-mails that come to the AHRR, and post all horses that need to be rehomed ($500 or less). I hope your post isn't referring to the AHRR, or I've totally missed something here.

Brenda

Resources in what respect? Someone to take in horses? If you'd like us to help you place your horse(s) into a new home, send me detailed info about each horse (age, registration info, temperament, rideability, illnesses/lame issues, etc.), along with a photo, and I will post them on the AHRR. I'll need to know any details of 'purchase' ... is the horse to be given away or sold (if at a price, the amount you want for the horse, up to $500).

The e-mail address for the AHRR: Arabians247@yahoo.com
