I've not been on any of the boards much lately due to other things and time restrictions going on.. mainly work being well.. WORK... imagine that lol But I had to share this.
I've been working the last few months, not consistently I might add, ground driving Jasoor.. he might get a few days of work then nothing for awhile, then a few more days etc.. you get the idea. Well we had ground driven out the driveway and down our dirt road once prior without him batting an eye at anything.. he's such a calm and sweet guy, very studdly when it comes to the mares but understand "studdly" to me does not mean mouthy, bratty, pushy or ripping through fences.. that's bad manners not stallion behavior.. anyway (one of my soapboxes) We took him this weekend out down the dirt road and about 2 miles around our neighborhood past all kinds of mail boxes, trash cans, dogs .. lots and lots of dogs lol and he did AWESOME... never batted an eye at anything until the piggies.. and that's a whole story into itself lol
When we got back home, just walking so he wasn't even sweaty or particularly tired... my daughter Megan got on and rode him for a few times around the round pen.. he's very very green and she's just 11 but tall and a very good rider.. and then yes, yours truly climbed up and sat on him for the first time ever

I was beyond thrilled. I have raised this colt from a 10 month old baby, to a beautiful, sexy, well mannered 3 year old and all that work finally paid off.. it was such a great feeling!! He's still such a sweetheart and while he has moments of teenager buttheadedness for the most part he lives true to his Ansata breeding of being gentle and sweet, inquisitive and curious and friendly to a fault. Can you tell I'm a proud momma

I've heard so much crap from folks about being in denial about this colt and how he will act as he gets older, and truthfully I can say he just gets better and better both in looks and disposition. All I can say in return is the proof is in the pudding and I'll be riding my stallion when they are having to handle theirs with chains and being bitten when they never see it coming.. how sad for them to not have what I have with this colt.. and what anyone with a well mannered stallion has with their boys
Just had to share.. first picture is Megan and Jasoor on his first "free" ride without lunge line or rope either one..

And this is yours truly on Jasoor for the first time ever.. oh man what a feeling.. this is what makes raising these babies and all the ground work SO worth it.. great dispositions count for alot as well
