My mare Bumper (grey) is starting to round in the belly! She is due the first week in April. I am very excited for her because first I'M not the one pregnant (have 4 humans children)and second this is the her third foal. Her last one is a 2004 gelding (my Mick). Her poop pile has increased in strength and number. SHe is acting like the moody girl she is when pregnant (but not with the humans). This lil foal will be spoiled for sure...OH! I can't wait!!!!! I will get pics of her when I remember to take the camera to the barn!! The picture below was taken in July. The bay is CA Fertez the stallion I used to own

Great pictures! Our mare EK Vermilion looks about like Shan's mare Bumper, maybe a little bit bigger. She's also due in April smile.gif

Although I don't have any current pictures, my two girls are getting rounder by the day.

Caliente, my Arab mare is bred to a blue roan AQHA stud and got HUGE really early. I was alittle concerned but she seams to have slowed down in blow up rate. Now looking her normal self for this stage of her pregnancy. This will be her #4 foal.

Dixie, my APHA mare looks round all the time but now I can see some progress at this stage. She is on Regumate and I will be glad when this foal gets here and I can quit worrying about her slipping.

This is the first time she has done this, her first 2 foals she held with no problem and no extra's need to hold the pregnancy. She slipped #3 last year and that is why she is on Regumate for this foal.

My Jasmine was in foal this year for a June 2007 baby, we had her checked at 22 days & there was a baby, small but there, had her checked again at 45 days & we had a heartbeat but vet felt that the foal was smaller then it should be. When we did the 92 day check, the foal was gone sad.gif Does anyone know why she may have lost it & how I could try to prevent it happening again? She's 10 & we plan to breed her to our stallion next year but she'll be 11 by then so I'm concerned. This mare is my best friend & is wonderful to everyone & really took to a filly we had here so I'd like to breed her once for myself, any advice & suggestions would be much appreciated.

They flag their tails & prance
On high stepping hooves they dance.
Give velvet nose kisses whenever they please
And steal our hearts with ease.
Noble hearts & gentle eyes
Toss their manes to the skies
Free spirit & gentle playmate
Show us how life to best celebrate

We were young & headstrong but we lived our lives with passion.

My mare Northern Tempest is really starting to look more pregnant than just fat. She is also due the first week of April, so I anticipate a busy thread sharing and comparing baby photos this spring, lol.

Tempest was such a great mom the first time round which was two years ago. She rewally enjoyed being a show horse, always excited about the whole show scene, but she is such a great mom. That is definitely her calling. She turns into this sweet, loveable, huggable girl and is so proud of her baby. Can't wait.
