Welcome to Arabian Breeders Network
Achaean Arabians
We are located in historic horse country in Northern Virginia. Our farm is home to three Straight Egyptian stallions sharing the honor of having some of the best bloodlines still available in the US.

Since 1981 we have been involved with Arabians, starting with the purchase of our *Morafic grandson, Harem Shamahsheik. At age 28, Sheik is still going strong and still loves to drive the wagons for community events.

My status

This was my thoroughbred Tubulcain: DOB 4/26/1987 Died 10/19/2002 by Lin D Charger out of On the Front by Frontage. He was my first horse.. my dream come true, a gift for my 51th birthday from my dying husband so that I would have a focus after he was gone. I called him Falcon.

I didn't pick him. He chose me. He went from a skinny (second picture) race track reject (though he did win over $10,000 from 1990 to 1993 with 6 firsts to his credit.) to a filled out, smart, wonderful companion (first picture: lol) horse for me. {didn't know how to change the order of the pictures}
Once we discovered that he suffered hypothyroid disease and was a chronic weather change colicker we were able to manage his health for the 9 years we were together.

He was my protector. The Arabian ancestry shined through. He would put his body between me and anything he perceived as dangerous (human or environmental). I adored him.

It is my feeling that BSA Latifa (Mercury's dam: BFA Regality) called Falcon to her because her son needed me. She had died at Sun Valley Arabians on 9/13/2002. I found Mercury 11/2002.

They leave as big a hole in your heart when they go as any other. Lovely horse, good companion, and biggest heart. That is what I love about them also.

So sorry you lost your buddy. You did well by him, and there is a special place in heaven for rescuers like you.

Hi Barbara,

What a wonderful thing for your husband to do. He was a very special horse for that too. I didn't know about him, just about Mercury.

Christine
