this will be a topic for those who want to learn polish for fun

those who do speak it or write it well please feel free to jump min and teach those who want to learn

add words and english translations and ddefinitions as well as those who can sentences in correct polish grammar the reason i say that is because my grammer in polish is none existant not because i think other polish persons grammar is bad. Basia

OMG.... I have enough trouble pronouncing Arabian names in english! You'd have to really spell out the "sound" for me to pick it up. WOuld be fun! laugh.gif

szczeniaki(shcheniaki) (Ch pronounced like ch in chime) - actually means puppies... pieski means small dogs or a term of endearment for big ones

ladny ( wadny) piesek means beautiful doggie

I laughed a lot reading in another thread about American breeders, who were visiting Janow Stud and wanted to see "ogorki" (pickles), instead of ogierki (colts). Our neighbour, who is a foreigner wanted to buy a hen, so he went to the store and asked for egg's mother.

W Janowie musiało być bardzo wesoło, kiedy amerykańscy hodowcy wizytowali stadninę i ucząc się polskiego powiedzieli, że teraz chcą oglądać ogórki zamiast ogierki. Nasz sąsiad, który też nie jest Polakiem, poszedł do sklepu po kurę na rosół i poprosił o matkę jajka.
