I was flipping around the channels on TV tonite, and saw that they were broadcasting "Black Beauty" on Animal Planet. I had to watch it again. Can't help myself.

Boooo Hoooo. The ending really gets to me, when Beauty is once again at the sale barn, standing there as thin as a rail, and sights his long lost kind owner Joe. He nickers, he neighs, louder and louder until it stops Joe in his tracks. Joe turns around and stares at the black old horse, approaches him and brushes aside his forelock only to recognize that this old horse is his long lost Beauty. When he lays his head against the old horse's cheek, whispers "you're safe now Beauty", and tears stream down his face - well, I just LOSE it everytime!

Geeeez! I think I'll go out and pass out that Christmas bag of apples to my horses.

I watched this movie recently as well and cried and cried. It really makes you think on what COULD happen to the horses we sell. Very sad. Even if we think they are in forever homes, something could happen and they could become like Black Beauty became. Not all have the chance to live the rest of their life in a happy place.

The movie "Phar Lap" made me cry, the darn tribute video to Barbaro and I balled when I read "Where the Red Fern Grows" with my son. I could barely read the end because I was sobbing! I'm such a wuss with tear-jerkers! Let's not forget the "Baby Mine" scene in Dumbo, it gets me everytime!
