The American Foundation Arabian Horse Association (AFAHA) was established in 2001 to preserve and promote the original bloodlines of Arabian horses existing in the United States by and before 1940.

An Early American Foundation Arabian horse (EAF) traces 100% to Arabians in the U.S. by and before 1940 (registration nos. 1-2924 found in AHR Stud Book V).

An American Foundation Arabian horse (AF) traces 100% to Arabians in the U.S. by and before 1960 (registration nos 1-16015 found in AHR Stud Books 1-10).

An American Foundation-Bred Arabian horse (AFB) traces at least 75% American Foundation Arabian horses.

AFAHA does provides Certificates of Designation for Arabian and half-Arabian horses which are EAF, AF, AFB or American Foundation-Related. Membership in AFAHA is free.

Best regards,
Carrie Lewis

When age prevents me from riding,
I will still keep horses as long as
I can shuffle along with a pail.
When I can no longer shuffle,
I will roll my wheelchair to the pasture
Fence to watch my horses graze.

Would anyone be able to give me more info on my mare? I had gotten some information from Debra Schrishun on another forum, but was wondering what more information i can obtain here. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/debzak is her pedigree. I happened to buy her grade, but was told that she had papers and they were lost, no name or anything, just her age and that she came from that general area. It took 2 years but I finally found out who she was. I figured she had Ansata in there just by looking at her, but the other G-Grand sires were bonus!
I will send away for the certificate too, here, soon enough for the Foundation Breeding. I attached a picture of my two girls biggrin.gif
