Well we had a few set back on regard to Kaseyn scratchingand causing a sore throat producing a seal cough requiring stall rest from dec 2 til dec 28th but now he is back at it. No rhyme or reason but was very well taken care of.
I talked to Rod today and even though Kaseyn has really only been undersaddle for about 60 days, he is at the 90 day mark. He is starting his spins and coming along with the two track at all three gaits. He is doing wonderful and Rod wants to keep him there. I am going to leave him there until April and bring him home for the Midwest horse fair and also Minnesota expo. I am proud of our boy and can't wait to get him home for a month or two. I will then evaluate were to go from there in his training. Rod has high expectations for Nationals if he keeps on the track he is going. He will have to wait and see if he has the fire under him to continue. It is all a wait and see game, but at the time very positive. Rod has nothing bad to say of Kaseyn and actually is excited to continue his training. Now I will get down there and video tape him in his spins and sliding stops for all very soon. I am going through withdrawal. Decisions are never easy to make. Funny now matter how old I am, I worry on making the right one for the right reasons.
