the boys are ready the trailer was loaded, the ice started late yesterday evening and the snow this morning, it's not suppose to be quiet like this in oklahoma, we may be on the way to some record, there's a 3 foot drift around the truck and trailer, probably a foot really of snow, and the tv says expect a 'significant weather event' well what is it i'm slugging thru now??? oh well, i'll be hunting something too do, our ctr is the next one and looks like i won't get to compete til April.... sniff, sniff.

thanks for the smile, heck i might as well move to the north pole at this rate, the drifts are getting higher, got the ponies in stalls and just got done hauling buckets of warm water out again, they are drinking it like fish... there's a drift out the back courner of the house half way to the eaves. eeekkk... i been in oklahoma near 30 years, never seen it like this, and it's not even december yet!!!! global warming , bah humbug!!

I'm sorrhy. We're snowed in here too. I think I got frostbite going out to feed hay and check on everyone!

Szybki, the old stallion, and his son were the smart ones. they were in their run in shed.

Well, next weekend is the AERC ride in Arkansas. It's supposed to be 50 degrees then!

:P :P

I know it is no consolation....But it was 15 degrees last nite here, in So. California, and while no snow, ( high desert), the wind was still about 20 mph.
That made my poor babies soooo cold!! And the 2 inches of ice on the water barrels did nothing for my attitude! LOL!
I AM GOING to go groom and tackup then just do some arena work to keep the "Kids" from becoming too stiff, then it is back to the ole "puter" and lots of hot coffee.

Still have the fish pond and fountain to break ice on too.

part of thebummer is the weather kept us from getting there, but it will be pretty nice around here and beautiful riding weather in texas where the ctr is. we just got back from town in the 4 wheel drive... no way to haul the pickup and trailer even out of the drive....

Well now, I can add my carp to yours, maz! Not only did we get a food of snow here on top of ice.... but it wrecked my plans for the next two weekends!

DH was supposed to take my truck and go to Chicago this weekend. He's bought himself a Harley and needs to go get it.

Well, because of the snow, he's going next weekend. Which means I will not have a truck to haul down to Arkansas for the ###### on the Border Ride. A ride I've planned on doing for months cause it's on my birthday weekend.

(uttering not nice things under my breath)

chris
