Nemesis Arabians
Moulin looks at me with his Scarlet O Harra's eyes and tells me that his world is good. He runs up to me with the grace of his Dam, SW Positiw. He nozzles me with a familiar feel. The feel of his oh so gentle sire ZT Shakfantasy. I see the elegance of his grandsires when he greets his Mares and from the day he was born he was a little bit of old and a little bit of new.

The Indiana Arabian Horse Club, Inc, would like to thank everyone who has supported the IAHC Amateur Show over the past 28 years. Over the years, the show has become known for having a fun, light, amateur friendly atmosphere, where everyone feels welcome and has a great time with their Arabian horses and friends. In recent years, the show has had to contend with competing shows on the same dates, rising costs, and weather, all leading to dwindling entries. In 2008, you will see many changes to the show in hopes of revitalizing this wonderful Arabian Horse Show.

First, the show will have classes for professionals. There will be an open, jr horse, and open championship class in each division. That being said, the show can no longer be called the IAHC Amateur Show. Beginning in 2008, it will be the IAHC Pro/Am Show. The date has been moved from the end of August, to September 13th & 14th, 2008. Going forward, the show will always take place the second weekend following Labor Day. In addition, the show is relocating to the Fulton County Equestrian Center, in Rochester, Indiana. This wonderful facility boasts over 200 stalls along with two large outdoor arenas and a covered arena. The show will utilize the outdoor arena, but in case of inclement weather, we can move to the covered pavilion.

The 2008 IAHC Pro/Am will feature over 100 classes, including a full slate of Sweepstakes classes and a sport horse division including hunter over fences and hunter hack classes. Pro/Am classes will, of course, be on the schedule. In this entertaining class, a professional rides the horse the first direction of the ring, then comes to center ring, where the amateur takes the reins for the second direction of the class. The Stallion Showcase will be back in 2008, as well as the very popular Liberty Class. The Arabian judge for 2008 will be Eugene Reichardt, a US Nationals Judge for the Western & Stallion Halter divisions this year.

We are very proud to be working with the Boys’ & Girls’ Club of Fulton County and will be giving a portion of the profits from the 2008 show to support their organization.

We hope you’ll join us in April for a Blast from the Past at the Indiana All-Arabian and then join us in the fall for some more Hoosier hospitality at the IAHC Pro/Am in Rochester, Indiana.

It looks like there is HA Mounted Native Costume, but no Arabian Mounted Native Costume. Is this usually the case? Do they have no call for it? Seems a shame sad.gif It is a nice long list of classes- maybe I just missed it?

I'll be there! Entries are coming in, and it looks like we'll have a good turn out, especially for SH and Hunter/Jumper. Super affordable show at a great facility, if you're thinking about coming and have questions, shoot them my way, jen@megasaurus.net
