The Region 17 prizelist has gone through its final proof reading and is being sent for approval.

Our target mail out date is April 15th.

The prizelist will also be available on the Region 17 website as well as show secretary extraordinarie Marion Enders' website.

I will post the links here when the prizelist gets posted on those sites.

I wrote a bit of info from our show commission meeting under the Region 17 meeting thread.

Here is a bit of additional info:

Halter - we have added halter back into the pre-show schedule after many requests by exhibitors.

For both the pre-show and regional halter classes we will be utilizing the "In ring procedure" for the new Arabian Scoring System. If you are showing halter this year, please take the time to go to the AHA website, look under Competitions, Judges and Stewards, and find the link there to the scoring system protocol.

Added Purse Classes: we will once again have prize money awarded for : Arabian Hunter Pl, HA/AA Hunter Pl, Arabian Western Pl, HA/AA Western Pl, Arabian Hunter Pl JR Horse, HA/AA Hunter Pl JR Horse, Arabian Country Eng Pl, HA/AA Ctry Eng Pl, Arabian Western Pl JR Horse, HA/AA Western Pl JR Horse and we have added Arabian Eng Show Hack and HA/AA Eng Show Hack.

We have hired Joan Palelek as our pre-show judge.

After more years than anyone can remember, our long time Show Commission member Wally Goertz resigned his position. Wally was always the go to guy who knew the answers to almost everything that came up. His energy and ability to do just about anything required will be missed. Thank you Wally for all your years of dedication to Region 17!!!!! Of course just because he resigned does not mean we won't bug him if we need his expertise;)
