We have received sad news that Janow bred stallion Penitent has passed away on the 19th of February, at the age of 29. Penitent was a Polish National Champion Stallion and European Champion Stallion. In 1988 he was exported to the US. Among his get in Poland are such stars and excellent broodmares as Michalow bred: Kawalkada (US Nat. Champion Mare), Palestra - the dam of Prognoza, Palestyna and Palmira, Palba (Towerlands Champion Mare) and Dracena. Our sincere condolences to the owner!

Very Very sad news indeed. Here is a 1979 photo of Penitent whom I always adored as one of the most beautiful of the Partner sons. I do believe the Fishers still owned him. Many Condolences sent!

Oh wow, how sad - I remember when he was imported and just the "hottest stallion" - so beautiful. Glad he lived a long life, well cared for and loved.

I saw Kawalkada win at the US Nationals with Larry Jones. She was breathtaking and unbeatable.
I loved Penitent. The Fishers gave him a Great Life as they do for all of their beautiful horses.

So sad. I think that Kawalkada has always been that photo in my mind of the perfect mare. So sad!
