I am new on this forum so if I have posted in the wrong spot, sorry! I am looking for an Arab for trail riding, checking cattle and just all round pleasure riding for a reasonable price - came across one on the internet and would like some opinions on his breeding. I think he is a Russion/Polish cross. Some linebreeding with Baharr and Comet. His registered name is Matryx and he is on the All Breed Database. Any comments on his breeding?

I have a nice 14 year old bay Arabian gelding for $500. He is a Barbary grandson out of a *Bask and *Padron granddaughter. Green broke but is very willing to learn and loves to work. He is registered as RF Virtual Reality, barn name is Baykin (cuz he's a ham!).

I live in Alberta Canada so need something a little closer. Looking for something around 9-10 years. I tend to keep my horses forever. My present mare is 24 and does well but her knee gets sore if ridden too hard. Thanks for the reply though.

You should be able to find a great arab gelding pretty easy in Alberta smile.gif There are so many arab barns around there! And check with the Rescue 100 just outside of Sherwood park I think they might be adopting out the arabs soon????

Where in Alberta you from? I lived in Edmonton for years.....

Look on dreamhorse.com

Welcome to the forum fellow CDN!!!
Baharr is great bloodlines and very true to where he comes from (AB)
He was a race horse and produced alot of racers and western horses. I own a 27 grand daughter of Baharr
Comet was a great horse too....many of my polish bred have Comet blood.
I do think you could easily find what you are looking for in your area. Check online classifieds or even the CAHR marketplace

Believe me I have being looking. Most are in the $3000 - 4,000 price range. I am looking at no more then $2000.00. Which is what the one horse I am looking at is priced at. He is near Edmonton - which is still 3 hours away for me. The area I am from is quarter horse country.

Hmmm thats really tough... I am surprised you cant find a nice gelding under $2000 ok acctually now that I think about it...... Alberta has so much money right now and the economy is good in Alberta that I can see horses being more money! 2 out of my 3 arabs I sold last year were to Alberta and the people payed big money to just ship them there from BC!! I know here in BC horses are alot cheaper but shipping them to you in Alberta is a BIG cost now that gas is soooo high....

Post some pics of the gelding you are thinking about smile.gif Mabe he is the one!! His price is right

This horse is advertised on Equinehits.com. 9 year old bay gelding, name is Nemo. Ad # 214165. (Hope it is okay to post this info.)

P.S not all Albertans have money - believe me!
