If someone were looking for lines to cross to make
1) Jumper Arabians
2) Dressage Arabians

Which bloodlines are known for such -

Again, Im sorry for the dumb question, Im very new and trying to learn the bloodlines/charcteristics.

Ok, this is what I would have on list if looking for individuals for these events. Now these are stains per say here. But Polish lines and Russian lines seem to do the best here. Russian Roulett is the best example I can give. Ok Intrique (think thats right), and Moudy's Mystry is another good example. If you see a name on here by Moudy, send her a messager. Also Russian Roulett. I do know years ago that Gamar horses also excelled in these events. You will probably find that name in third generations of horses now days. Good luck! Check out Sport Horse sections if you can. What you have asked for falls in that catagory.

I don't know what arabian horses are the best jumpers in the States but I know that Europe Champion Jumper in 2007 and 2006 was a Polish mare Niniwa. You may look at her pedigree in Janow Database by clicking the name. She's by Etogram (Kuhailan Haifi or.ar. sire line) out of Niwa (Rodania or.ar. dam line).

Was she available at the Pride of Poland sale a year or so ago, but didn't sell? I remember reading about it in one of my magazines, but I can't remember if it was the same mare or not.

Back in 2000, I used the USEF and USDF leading sires lists to try to get an idea as to which direction I would take in my breeding program (to produce Arabian dressage horses). The Bairactor line (Arax and Gwarny), Kuhailan Adjuze (Priboj and his sons Pietuszok and Topol out of Taktika particularly) and Faher (Trypolis x Ferha) through his daughters were quite a pattern that I observed.

These lines are the aforementioned Polish/Russian programs, and quite accomplished on the track. The Bairactor line is tricky to use these days for sport breeding, because it's so combined with the Saklawi I and Ibrahim lines, you get more influence from the latter lines (and I personally do not like them). I have a Gwarny grandson who is strongly race-bred, but there are not many out there. The best source for Kuhailan Adjuze breeding is *Orzel blood - many of his offspring have excelled at sport disciplines. Novator offspring are a good Russian source for K. Adjuze breeding (there were many in Florida recently that needed to be rescued) - he's a Topol son out of an Arax daughter. The Faher daughters *Miroluba (who produced outstanding athletes with *Orzel) and Etna (whose son Etap sired *Wiking, and Etan - who did not get to sire many offspring, but I saw a daughter of his years ago who had OUTSTANDING sport horse movement).

So, there are just a couple of examples that I have found to be excellent (Kuhailan Zaid and Ilderim lines are also outstanding sources for talent). There are a lot of horses from different breeding programs out there making an impact in the sport horse arena (Fadl is one of my favorites). Khemosabi bred horses are very prominent. But look at his pedigree and count how many times Kuhailan I (Priboj's grandsire)and Kuhailan Zaid are present. It's very interesting.

Yes, she was. I've heard the owner didn't really want to sell her. She wanted to show at the halter scene event that arabians can be also really good sport horses so the minimum prize was set very high.

The Aurab/Aulrab lines make wonderful Dressage & Jumping horses! They are beautiful, well balanced, big moving horses with great trainability!

I second the Aulrab/Aurab lines for performance and all around wonderful nature. Gogetter has Aul Those Socks (Aulrab/Aurab lines) and he too is another example of the performance horse. Both Socks and my Otto, have the athletic ability that allows them to succeed in Sport Horse In Hand, Sport Horse Under Saddle, and Hunter Pleasure (Open & AAOTR). I have been told that Otto would do well in Dressage, however, I don't enjoy Dressage, so we are not going to be doing that. Otto will be trying Side Saddle at the Silverama Show.

The Aulrab/Aurab lines are PERFECT for the Adult Amateur and the Pro trainer as well. Socks is shown by both Amy (Gogetter) and her trainer, Virginia Godwin. Otto is shown by myself, my Hubby (in SHIH and who has never shown a horse) and my trainer, Doreen Andersen. These horses are succeeding in both the Main Ring and the Sport Horse rings. They are calm enough for amateurs, and "thinking" enough for the trainers. I had a Polish Arab and it was not a good match for me...
